  2. I have heard of them, but never heard their music. Pretty sucky?
  3. Hope you don't mind waiting until Tuesday night to hear about your present.
  4. Thanks Brianne ... I'll be danged if I can find where to buy tickets. http://www.barackobama.com/index.php But visiting his webside did get me off my ass to donate to Obama. And somebody matched my donation! Yay!
  5. That is a great review Halle ... I was wondering if you'd made it to one of the shows. "I remember the Sault." and the nod and the wink -- had to be priceless. I got to catch the Detroit show earlier this month, and it was transcendent.
  6. Next week? Holy crap that's soon! Why, this seems worthy of its own thread, especially since the event is not in April/May! Brianne, will you do the moderator honors, my dear? Cmon, it's your baby. Split this sucker. Here's a link I found, not sure if this was your source or not but it says the same. http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics...sen_barack.html
  7. Oh goodie. It has been corrected at the Second City website as well. Yay! "29" of your friends.
  8. Maybe these Second City comedy people are playing a joke on us!!!!!!!
  9. I was unaware Jeff was a knitter.
  10. oooooooooh, thanks! Nope, not a metal chick. Sorry. I was just your basic hippie chick who loved Flying Burrito Brothers, Doobie Brothers, and Brothers Johnson. But never metal. Now onto other news: from paste.com some ticket onsale info: http://www.ryanadamsarchive.com/showthread.php?t=6663
  11. You can get them from owl. I hope that'll do! Happy T-Day to you! http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=26738
  12. Gogo!!! Big day, no? Fortify yourself with some birthday cupcakes!!!
  13. You mean my fantasy supergroup has to make sense? Damn!
  14. Judging by the thread title, probably Simple Twist of Fate. Tweedy singing Dylan. "I'm Not There" soundtrack. http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?sho...p;hl=Twist+Fate
  15. Once again, another cultural reference goes over my head. Whooooosh.
  16. Good for you then. I'm up for peacefully coexisting in this thread with all Easy Tiger haters.
  17. Nice find stooka! Can they please ask David Rawlings to join that band? It would be over-the-top of course, but why not? David Rawlings filled in with Bright Eyes for an absent Michael Mogis last month at the Kalamazoo MI show, because Mogis was busy with studio work. That was a great show, my first time seeing Bright Eyes. Conor Oberst called him "one of my very favorite people to play music with."
  18. He's a very talented young man. Very professional and polished for his age. Sorry to see the Canada shows called off. Wish I could be in Cleveland tonight. Here's a youtube from his appearance at Borders. That same poster has more songs from his Borders show as well. 19. Exactly what SarahC said. I thoroughly enjoyed the full-band show I saw back then as well. Excellent band, beautiful and charming songs. And great banter between songs. Then later on I saw him perform solo when he opened for Elvis Costello. Nice gig, that was. Once again, great performance. If you like his songs, definitely don't miss his show. He has such a perfect voice. I really want to see him this tour, but no dates ever materialized that I could make.
  20. http://www.myspace.com/ryanadams 3 new hair metal songs by alter-ego "Sleazy Handshake" (IMO the best part of those 3 songs is when they end and "Blue Hotel" kicks in )
