  1. quick google search helped me with that one. Perfect.
  2. I'm going to go with either Train or Stone Temple Pilots. Limp Bizkit is probably going too far.
  3. Very sad news. I'm very sorry for your loss. Take care of each other.
  4. I haven't watched all of SNL as of yet but I watched the monologue. It was pretty pathetic. I knew that he would come out and use this as an avenue to display his "act". When he grabs a microphone and starts in on his schtick, it's thoroughly annoying. He's got that cleverer-than-thou way about him. However, he's definitely a good marketing guy and he can say something funny from time to time. I really think this thread should be about how awful SNL is now. I TiVo it every week despite the fact that I know it's going to be horseshit. Amy Poehler and the news segment would probably be
  5. absolutely hilarious shit. Thanks for posting.... 'zing'
  6. Just got back from Oktoberfest at a neighboring community. Turns out that I really like Leinenkugel's Octoberfest beer - SHOCKING!!
  7. I don't find "Jesus, etc" to have any religious meaning at all.
  8. No, I don't either. But, you do like to smell the roses, no?
  9. Let's admit that I've always had a way of getting you to stop and smell the roses. Remember "Angry Carlos"?
  10. Hope it's a thoroughly enjoyable one and such.... happy b-day!
  11. This should make it unanimous. He is very intense to watch live. In fact, I saw him with a bunch of artists at a charity show many years ago. Billy Corgan, Jeff Tweedy, Gary Louris, Marianne Faithful, etc.... he stole the show. The entire place was pogo-dancing during his 'encore'. He's amazing and amazingly underrated.
  12. I guess this is as good a place to post as any... guys, if I die at my desk at work, I want the world to see it. Umkay?
  13. Personal experience would indicate that it isn't necessarily the best 30 minutes of the show either.
  14. ditto that... my wife generally likes my taste in music but this one alludes her a bit. She does like "February 14th" but that's where she draws the line. I can't get her to listen to the 'depths of their lyrical contributions'.
  15. I find them to be a pretty outstanding act both live and on their albums. Understand that they are singing songs from a characters perspective. I can understand the Lynryd Skynrd comparisons from a guitar/musical perspective. You hear the triple guitar onslaught. However, lyrically, they are much more talented than you are giving them credit for. I'm a "northerner" and I can hardly identify with a guy losing his farm, a girl who falls in love with her brother, a meth-user, etc. but these guys make you feel it. You can identify with someone you may absolutely abhor otherwise, "Puttin' Pe
  16. What's it prompting you on? It is going to update your entire library and the music that is on your iPod. It is just converting them to gapless play.
  17. I highly recommend Ralph's World (Ralph Covert). He's along the lines of Dan Zanes and I'd consider him the U2 or REM of kid's music. Your kids will love it and it isn't the least bit irritating. I've trumpeted him on this board for a couple of years now. He plays kids shows all over but if you live in the Chicagoland area, he plays all the time. www.ralphsworld.com
  18. I'm gonna say go ahead and do it!
  19. You think that is a bit exaggerated? Did you see their first two games? He looks awful. I am not a huge ND fan but I do think college football is much more interesting when they are winning. At this point, even when they win, he looks, at best, capable. Hopefully he will turn it around.
