    OMG

Don't look now but Iggy Pop pretty much is for old people.
  2. I was thinking about going to the Glen Phillips show. It's about the only venue in Chicago that I've never been to. Hell, I don't even know anyone that has been there. The ticket price is $25 before all of the convenience charges. I'm not really that big of a fan but will have a couple of people in from out of town that are interested. What is the place like? I'm assuming that the venue is part of the reason for the big charges. Not sure why he would choose that place over the dozens of great places that are about the same size.
  3. Absolutely agree on that track. 'Railroad Man' is also one of my favorite Eels track. His albums are one of the ten or so artists that I will buy forever regardless of reviews, previews, etc. His albums get purchased without even so much as a listen.
  4. I have about as much Eels on my iPod as anything. However, I have to be in the right mood to listen to some of his stuff. Genius, yet depressing at times.
  5. I can't take Roth seriously. He was cheezy when he was good.
  6. Where exactly does that hatred stem from? The guy works his ass off and he is arguably one of the best quarterbacks of all time. I haven't met too many football fans that hate him.
  7. A little vindication for Rex. REPRESENT!!!! Now, if the Colts would just go ahead and pound the shit out of New England, perfect Championship Sunday. Bears.
  8. Damn, I love Glossary. I don't like this one as much as "For What I Don't Become" but it's a strong album.
  9. Pollstar.com is a great place to find concerts in any city. I'd recommend Allen Toussaint and/or Glenn Phillips. The Double Door is a great venue as well. Backyard Tire Fire is a Chicago band with some twang in 'em. 10. I'm going to go ahead and say that there really is no etiquette here. Nobody really gives a shit when you show up. Have a great time though. That Tweedy is easily one of the best solo acts in the business.
  11. The country is not ready for a female or black president imo. I believe that Barrack would make an EXCELLENT VP candidate but the nomination for the top office should go to someone with a bit more experience/accomplishments. Otherwise, the dems are just going to throw this away again.
  12. I was at the show where Wilco played this. The last show at Lounge Ax. Absolutely hilarious. Their roady at the time played the part of Billy Bragg complete with the accent. Still one of the top 10 Wilco shows.
  13. Oh, geez. "TheMaker negative opinion spewed out as fact".
  14. I think Okemah is a fine piece of work. There are a couple of songs on the album that I skip but the album holds up well for me. I'm pumped about his next album.
  15. Bears - 27 Seahawks - 24 Edit - Wow, stressful but worth it. Go Bears.
  16. Sounds great. Jay's a huge talent.
  17. Seriously, how does this movie get made and I'm still waiting on the next installment of Weekend at Bernies?? WTF indeed.
  18. Watching Beauty and the Beast at MGM. Mesmerized.
