  1. Just heard some of it on the archive. doesn't sound that great to me - not through the soundboard, just an audience recording?
  2. Remember the UK dates last November? All cancelled with no explanation and nothing resheduled due to 'conflicting schedules'. A few angry punters over here who lost money/wasted holiday on the whole affair.
  3. Is that a recording of the webcast or audience? Would love to get hold of the webcast - sounded great in between the digital breakup etc - for us here in the UK it was the middle of the night but got to hear the first half between about 2 and 3 AM!
  4. Sounds like no DVD then.......would have thought this was the perfect opportunity, and I know a DVD is in the pipeline at some stage
  5. 12 Apr Club Deville Austin, Texas 13 Apr Engine Room Houston, Texas 15 Apr Spanish Moon Baton Rouge, Louisiana 16 Apr One Eyed Jack

  7. I urge you all to catch the boys on this tour, they've got a month's worth of dates in the US throughout late Feb/March. Saw them twice this week in Oxford on Monday and then last night at Koko in London, and what a spectacle! If the new magnificent album wasn't enough they were unstoppable last night, and don't think I've ever witnessed quite as much mayhem at the end of a gig. The 10 foot bear was back, Eamon Hamilton (now with Brakes) returned wearing helmet, cape and wrestling belt to wreak havoc through a chaotic closing 'Rock In A' and stole the show amid chants of 'Easy! Easy!' thr
  8. Anyone heard Alberta Cross? Anglo-Swedish take on Neil Young and Laurel Canyon.
  9. [ Soundtrack of Our Lives 'Instant Repeater '99' - what a song!
  10. Yep, BSP are one of those British bands (like SFA) who really do deserve to sell more records, and just maybe this will be the one. Lets be honest, there's nothing original about the way they sound, much like alot of the trenchcoat wearing gloom merchants from the UK in the post-punk years (Bunnymen etc), but I love their eccentricity and there can be no doubt this album is full of cracking rock tunes. 'Waving Flags' is already being touted as a Glastonbury anthem for the coming summer, and both 'Canvey Island' and 'Lights Out for Darker Skies' leapt out at me - stirring tunes. Love the wa
  11. Would imagine it will be 25 or so songs released as a DVD - the band's pick of material from the five nights roughly the length of one concert - then a second disc with extras/interviews etc
  12. I have one of these signed by Tweedy, Glenn, Nels and John!
  13. Uncut magazine in UK has SBS as high as #5 in their list and Mojo #22, however it doesn't make the 'Q' top fifty, nor NME. Ironic really as when I met Tweedy in Dublin he told me 'Q' was the only one of those mags that he liked! (found the former two too retro loving)
  14. Will be surprised if this doesn't turn out to be the mooted live DVD. More than one of the band told me in Dublin that a DVD is in the pipeline, and makes sense that this will be it. Remember that KT was drawn from four nights in Chicago in 2005, so sounds like there's a pattern here. Makes sense financially, rig the set once, hire the kit for the week and then take the pick of cuts from five nights. Wonder how many of the hundred or so songs will make the DVD?!!
  15. You can be sure this will be the DVD. Have heard from the horse's mouth there will be one, and this would be the time to do it, there can be no doubt. Betcha all five are filmed and with luck the whole lot will make a mega DVD, if not there'll be bags of extras at the very least. So if you can't get there, what's the betting that by the end of 2008 you'll be watching the cream of the shows (if not the lot) over and over! Let it roll!
  16. Its in th 'rock' category because its more of of a 'classic rock' record than an 'alternative' one. Which is why alot of critics didn't like it that much (a bit 'retro' and 'safe' as opposed to 'edgy and 'daring' like AGIB and YHF)
  17. yep there was a taper right at the back next to the mixing desk - we chatted before the gigs and he told me they would be awesome recordings!
  18. Turns out that John Stirratt knows his football too! Was asking me about Steven Gerrard and told me he once went to a Newcastle v Birmingham game. And Glenn was interested too. Good on ya boys!
  19. here's the lot! http://picasaweb.google.com/keeprighton2/W...nNov14And152007
  20. I'll get a few more up soon.
  21. okay at least I do remember but I won't compromise his integrity in case it doesn't come off after all
  22. One from soundcheck first night (Far, Far Away), Sunken Treasure first night and Remember The Mountain Bed first night
