  1. That was a fun time, I'd forgot what a huge cinema the Bloor is. The presenter announced herself as a huge Wilco fan, Canty and Green were there too and they did a Q&A afterwards that was pretty nice. Good film. Not exactly what I was expecting, but very enjoyable.
  2. Or some equally disturbing self-important "serious" thing full of metaphors or neurotic/delusional angst. I like it fine, and it fits in to the catalog...where we've seen cats, radios, buildings, birds...and nothing too heady or heavy.
  3. Yes this will be 'acclaimed' in the anals of VC lore...lol Great job.
  4. See all four of us tonite at the Bloor! (I'm betting it'll be a full house...)
  5. That overrated junkie dweeb? Nah. Can't stand him. It's been safe to be a Bosox fan again since he been gone.
  6. I just took a leak and oh man, I do feel better.
  7. Love it... You should change your user name to Speed Satirist.
  8. Awesome. Are u taking requests? please do something with Cali Stars now.
  9. Fuck Pitchfork. And try saying that fast 10 times in a row.

  11. GEMM isn't a store, it's a portal like ebay for private sellers and record dealers. I like it a little better than eBay, but (like eBay) it's tough to find any bargains there. edit: wow, the site itself is a lot nicer than it was last time I looked there.
  12. "Best" is pretty subjective, you could put Eddie Van Halen in as a technical master but does that make him one of the greatest ever? I doubt it. What about genre etc. Jesse Cook is a master but he won't make any rock list. Some of my favorites.. Nels Cline, Larry Campbell, Tony Rice, Neil Young, Ralph Towner, Bruce Cockburn, Richard Thompson, Mark Knopfler, Frank Zappa, Jack White, Robbie Robertson, Prince, Jonny Greenwood, Pat Metheny.
  13. Wow, I'm amazed at all the Jay hating here. The guy helped create a lot of music we all know and love, and many songs you'd be disappointed not to hear at a 2009 Wilco show. Shit like this happens, it doesn't mean JB is a dick or that this has to 'end badly'. The only speculating I'll do is that this thread should probably be closed.
  14. Must have been great..I bet there'll be a dvd or broadcast of this. I saw Pete and Arlo perform in Montreal back in '85 (with my dad and grandma), it was a fabulous show.
  15. I would bet 10 bucks it'll leak in the next week or two. Just a guess though.
  16. Lewiston 7/19, and hoping the same. By then I imagine that's all I'll have been listening to for weeks....
