LOL. My stepdad's first cuz is Billy Shatner. It doesn't make us nice people or anything. Actually, my son's name is William....but that wasn't my choosing. I was happy with Bart. D'oh.

Get here late and just fight for the spots, as Jeff said on nite 3, which was probably -30F or something obscene like that. I'd consider cashing some air miles to get to one of these....but yeah I wish they were maybe in April. On sunny late winter days.

Being lazy..since I've been scarce on here lately (mercifully for y'all). Any 'official' word yet on wide release date for the DVD? Preview/leak date? Theatrical premieres? (hey, a guy can dream) Thanks buddy, youse guise are my bestest friendz.

+1 Neil's Unplugged set is a fine record as well-- the solo organ version of Like A Hurricane is a killer, and you can't do much wrong with Nils Lofgren and Nicolette Larson behind you.

I have a 40GB brown Zune.....working fine. I was blasting the 12/6/2008 Rochester show on it in the car earlier this evening. Weird shit indeed.

It's out there - go to a torrent site like Isohunt and search for Austin City Limits + Wilco. The file I have is called Austin City Limits_2005-01-08_Wilco followed by Bright Eyes.avi Oberst does some solo stuff and then is joined onstage by James and Ward. It was a pretty decent show.

^ ^ Yo Ellen! In your after the show pic, Jeff looks like a repair tech for the telephone company. "You got a problem...?"

Hmmm, I love Nels and I kind of despise German IT guys. The ones I work with are way too pushy/bossy, in general. Sorry.....I will take a pass on that one. This is the thread for bullshit stereotypes, so let 'em fly!!! LOL

That was a superb show....had a great time. Echoing 363's comments, the band was tight and in good spirits...and Jeff was in good form too, lots of funny banter and very gracious with the audience. Holy Christ it was LOUD too, at least where I was sitting. My ears rang for 15-20 mins after the show ended. Actually I thought the sound was a little bit off...Jeff's mic sounded a bit nasal, which I would've dismissed, but some of the acoustic guitars sounded really tinny as well. Every song had something special. Cali Stars featured a synth-organ solo by Michael and later an electric piano

Yeah..and I'd love to hear more of the "demo quality" stuff the band released on BT...like the way The Lonely 1 was done. It never grows old on me. Makes BT the only album that has a really loose, unproduced feel. (overall)

LMAO! Good to hear Glenn's back tonite for Rochester.....I'LL BE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice...but I took a pass on this round. Really wanted to see the band do a full show tomorrow nite in Rochester, but that didn't happen either. Happy for them that they got this gig, it must be a good paycheque. If anyone has vids up on youtube etc., post 'em up.

"Jeff Tweedy" reviews U2's Achtung Baby
W(TF) replied to winter party person's topic in Someone Else's Song
That is hilarious. When Achtung Baby came out, Jeff and Jay were practicing Black Eye. I just can't see that album having a huge hold on Jeff's mind during that time, or since. -
I've been buried in work lately. How many hardcore Wilco fans are showing up to these shows? I still can't stomach the idea of a 50-min set...polite applause... no encores.

Thanks, I enjoyed that! -
6??? LOL, err.. yeah. We're 2 dads, 2 tweens, 2 teens..... this should be a fun road trip if we can find tix. Would take three different pairs, 4 + 2, etc. Whatcha got. My friend, his girls and their friend are fanatics. My daughter is too cool for school, she's proven to be Wilco-resistent up to now-- but she wants to hang with the big girls, so this looks like the right moment to convert her. HELP!! oh...as for me, sorry I haven't been around much, I've been working 80-90 hours a week since August. -( I need a mental health break in the worst way. THIS would do the trick. Anyway, I mi

Sincere congrats - you guys done good this time. That was such a motherfucker of a speech....inspiring. I think as long as Obama can focus on connecting with people, instead of just issues, he'll be a good president.

Two songs from Joad...that's sweet.

Good move. I hate all things H-D. How about this old POS getting passed by a push bike down at Deals Gap...

Where do y'all get real Wilco stickers anyway. I had some on my motorcycle - the jesus-fish ones with "Etc." inside the fish, and anyone who noticed them just assumed I was a wingnut. (which, err.... I am. but not one of those)
