I thought Ken Burns' Jazz segment on Louis was really well done, probably moreso than all the other major jazz figures. (and not because W.Marsalis was the chief evangel-- uh, sorry, advisor) Definitely a study in contradictions.

I don't know about that, but it's my favorite track right now from the studio records. Not just for the lyrics, I love the tune....great synths, the harmonica, and a killer bass line.

Scrounged around for my Lauras but can't find them. Curse of having way too many records. I did find this old gem: This would have sold well in Europe but isn't well known here. Francis Cabrel has made some really great music.

The concert review on owlandbear says there was "rumor" of professional video-taping. Not sure what that means. It's usually pretty easy to spot.
