Donna, I don't know what I want.

Do I: 1. Take the high school building sub position? Pros-10 min from home, my kids go to the same school district, high school. Cons-poor pay, not in my field. 2. Take the elementary art position? Pros-In my field, regular teacher salary, half time (2 1/2 days on/off). Cons-Elementary school, not high school, Art-on-a-cart, bummer building, 50 minutes from home.

So, I have tickets for all three nights at the Capitol. Stay tuned, I'm going to have to get rid of some of them. I can't possibly go to all 3. could I?

I may have 2 night 1's for sale if I get tickets for night 3.

Oh, good lord I hope they don't add another night to the Cap. My wallet could hardly take it.

$25 service fee for Ticket Fly-eek! Whatever. I bought them anyway.

I got 2 on the floor for night 2 for the Cap. May or may not try for night 1. I can't take the stress.

Yes, It's not my favorite venue, but it was good. They really should figure out how to make shorter lines for beer and bathrooms. I spend way too much time in lines there instead of facing the stage, listening to music.

I agree. I've been wanting to go to The Capitol, this would be the one that gets me there.

Also, what the hell is up with the talkers? There's plenty of room in back, you won't need to yell over the music, and other people won't need to hear about how much you hate this one girl or how drunk you got last night. Geez.

OK, sigh. I'm going to just come out and say it. I don't seem to be as big a fan as the new Tweedy music as other people are. I'm trying, I am. I can recognize they are nicely written songs. But I've seen this new thing twice, after the first time I thought maybe they just need to find their way with them, and they'll be more cohesive later (and they ARE), but I think I think I like my music with more energy and edge. I got a text about it and walked that way, but there was a huge line. So I kept walking and saw Hozier, which was a treat.

Oh boy! I'm looking now, open spots that everyone agrees on in the schedule might be tough. But, after Deer Tick and before Jack White, there are a bunch of good bands, but all ones that I'd be happy playing in the background while I chat with VC friends.

I got it too. I will have to be 2 places at once for a few slots! I also got my tickets to the Deer Tick aftershow on Saturday today in the mail.

A couple of years ago, a friend and I were in Boston for a concert. We went out for drinks and when I took my scarf off I realized I had lost an earring, no idea where. A few drinks later, we were walking about 5 blocks away back toward where we came from. The phone rang, another friend telling us that another friend had had her baby. We stood on the sidewalk for a minute talking on the phone, I looked down, and no shit, there was my missing earring on the ground!

They were on vacation last week, waiting to hear. It's torture.
