  1. It is a great lineup so far, but I imagine there is still a bit to be announced. Right now to look at the line up, Saturday has fewer artists than Friday, and I would think that would be the heaviest day. I can't imagine Nickel Creek is going to be the headliner on Saturday, given who the headliners have been the last few years. Also, isn't Deer Tick always there in some capacity? I'm looking forward to seeing Phox again, love Dawes. I think I need to listen to more Conor Oberst. Last time I saw him, at the aftershow at the Jane Perkins theater in Newport, I kept thinking that he has
  2. I'm so ready for that announcement.
  3. Hmm. This complicates things. I have a terrific ticket for the 29th that I was hoping to exchange for the 26th. Now with the possibility of Gregg being out, I'm not sure I want to make the trip on the 26th. Eck, whatever. First world problems. I hope he's feeling better soon.
  4. That's a pretty nice couple of days, right there. How was Soulive? I enjoyed them the time I saw them. Any special guests?
  5. We are good. Just outside the gate. Walking distance is priceless.
  6. I did finally find a place right on Main St, the whole upstairs apartment. Not too expensive. The lady renting it said they still haven't rented out the downstairs yet, so if anyone is looking for a place, let me know, I can get you in touch with her.
  7. I was hoping to only have to buy a 3 day pass, so this works for me.
  8. Ugh. I thought getting a room at Solid Sound was hard. A crappy 2 bedroom place for $350 a night is best I can get!
  9. Do not skip Blitzen Trapper! That would be a shame! Yes, mixed in with a kid with a stomach bug, a husband away on business, New Haven being over an hour away, and no friends cool enough to join me, it's not going to happen. Sigh.
  10. Jealous. I just can't make it happen.
  11. It still hasn't opened in our market. Damn rural communities.
  12. I wish, but no. New Haven is kind of far for a Tuesday night.
  13. Husband is at his annual family commitment, with the brothers. That being The Allman Brothers. I went to the eye dr then took the kids and friends to a movie. Home now and thinking I might sit down to some knitting. I found some huge artichokes at the store so we will feast on those tonight.
  14. I think I recall seeing something like that. It wasn't us!! Were you near the elderly lady sitting in the front row?
  15. I was at that as well. I couldn't get through for presale or for regular sale on line. I would go back every few hours and still couldn't get through. I was beginning to think that maybe it wasn't in the cards since I was seeing them twice earlier that week. I figured I'd call the box office and if that didn't pan out I'd quit. I called, a lovely woman answered in person on the first ring. She asked where I would like like to sit and of course I said as close as possible. She said, "Look at that, there's 2 in the first row." So we were right under Nels' nose, met lots of VCers that nig
  16. Big shows- Radiohead at the first Outside Lands Pretty much all of the Dead shows I saw Small- Moby at a private show at The Bowery Ballroom a few years back Blitzen Trapper at Arch St in Hartford Pretty much anything at Infinity Hall in Norfolk, CT (300 seats), but most notably Dawes
  17. Not really a guest performance, but Sting opening for the Dead in '92 in Vegas was pretty surreal. Especially when he covered Jimi Hendrix. Natalie Cole was a guest at a Hep C benefit with the Allman Brothers. Among other songs, her vocals on Whipping Post were chill inducing.
  18. I was sure the green ears were going to be those noise canceling earphones that people who mow lawns wear. Oh! Also, I loved that the "lawn mowing" theme was all over the show. I can't wait for the next one.
