I just bought tickets to My Morning Jacket this summer in Buffalo-$35 for pit, $17 for GA. Not bad.

Justin Townes Earle-if I can shake my hangover from last night. Update: my date just pulled out. Should I go by myself? It's 45 minutes away. But I really like JTE. *sigh* Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We left after a couple of songs. Not as good as when I saw him at Newport. We took my friend's teenage daughter and her friends. Your friend was pretty much right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm pretty happy with the lineup. I'm not wowed, there is nobody that I'm dying to see. But, I'm sure I will enjoy most of it. I'm looking forward to Real Estate and Parquet Courts. Bill Frisell, NRBQ, and The Felice Brothers will be good to see too. Time for some homework. It helps that I live only a couple hours away. I would drive that far for only Wilco, so the rest is a bonus.

Well, this makes me feel better about it. I can't go, but I'll be happy getting my fix at Solid Sound.

I live an hour away and won't go. It's not a really pleasant festival, despite sometimes having good music. I'll be out of town, so I won't have to make the decision anyway. But I also don't feel like I'm going to miss much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My husband is far more upset than I am. I was probably going to sell my ticket. I'm happy with the pool party.

The First Great Song You Heard in Concert
RaspberryJam replied to roadhse ma's topic in Someone Else's Song
I will say the first time I came out of my own head and really felt a song at a concert was "Deal" at a Dead show in Buffalo, maybe 1987? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I think because journalists are supposed represent the truth. And no, I don't trust the news that he read any less, I highly doubt he wrote it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, of course. That goes without saying. I also want to clarify. I have zero problems with kids being there. We have more fun (and my kids have more fun) with them at their grandparent's. There's room for all kinds of people in this world. I was just presenting an idea for a local babysitter at night, in case someone wanted to consider the option.

I just want to make it clear I am no way against having kids at SS. I have kids, and if they were into it, I would bring them. It's cheaper, and more fun for my husband and I to have a weekend away doing something we love together. I will say, last year strollers inside were a big issue.
