Hey All..... Got off work a wee early with a little pleading at 6:15 PST to make the show at 7pm......The Empyrean Cafe sits amongst the the oldest part of downtown in an 1890's era building ,hugging the BNSF highline on one end and a soup kitchen/ desitute house on the other. Exposed brick, rafters and beams.....and a wood floor that's seen better days..... For the most part , this really was a jazz oriented crowd........two local artists Danny Weber (acoustic angst ridden folk stylings) and Dan Mancke (jazz guitar w/stylistic pickin') opened things out nicely.
