i love Brokaw, great man (met him a few times back in Bozeman, MT where he has a vacation home near), but he wasn't in control last night, that's for sure. it's not so much the candidates job to stay under their time as it is the moderator's job to cut them off and force them to wrap it up asap. that said, what do you want him to retire from? he retired in 2004... he reports on things occasionally these days, and has been the interim host of Meet The Press since Russert's death (and done a decent job, but too old to take over full time), but he's mostly a free agent.

gotta be honest... i'd have probably scored tonight's debate a tie... which means an Obama win in the grand scheme. really really boring stuff, even compared to the first debate. a good portion of it was a complete rehash. let's hope next week's debate is a bit more livlier. regardless, this thing is f'n OVER game. set. match.

Ted is friggin' the SHIT it was surreal seeing them open for Pearl Jam @ MSG after some of the tiny rinky dink shows i've seen 'em do over the years, but they filled that place.

i can safely now say this is my favorite album of the year without question... it just keeps getting better and better too PFM is slacking (tho they gave their last one an 8.5, and this is way better than that, they'll prolly give it some shitty mid-7 score now...)
