42 minutes... nice and concise too

a far as the pre-requisite goofy rocker from the last 3 records (Wheel, Kicking TV (realize it was a b-side, but still), & Hate It Here), Wilco (The Song) trumps them all. that song matured very nicely from the Colbert version

yeah, i just finished my first listen as well... very great record and not really at all what I expected. can't say that any singular song blew me away, but i had a positive reaction to every song, which is much more than I can say about the first listen to the last 2 records You Never Know's refrain kind of grates after the 35th repeat... if i had one minor complaint so far. this record is def much more in line w/ YHF than compared to the last 2. save for Bull Black Nova, which musically is pretty badass, but as a song it's gonna take some listens to fully sink in, but it sounds way more

makes sense to not clutter up other threads

really dig Jeff's doubletracked vocals on Solitaire
-
the leaked copy is def a legit quality rip this time

Bull Black Nova makes Spiders (Kidsmoke) sound like childs play...

put on your headphones before you explo-ooo-ooo-ooode

just a heads up, you're not going to be able to see the Black Crowes and The Jayhawks, their sets overlap by 15 minutes on different stages. I guess you could split the time, but it's a good 5-10 minute walk between the stages, and that's without weaving in and out of the crowd.

check out Roadrunner Records too, they recently reduced their store size a bit, but they have a nice selection of vinyl
-
yeah, it's called Treehouse Records now. they just took away 1 full row of CD's and dedicated it to more vinyl. they actually sell more vinyl than CDs now (as of last October)

he's SO f'n good live... quite a great double bill too
-
Marty has always annoyed me (dude talks WAY too much), so i'm fine with that... really hope James steps it up with album #4, i was not big on the last one minus 3-4 songs.

LOL Bat For Lashes are sweet... check out their previous album 'Fur and Gold', just as good if not better. Natasha Khan is also amazing to watch live

one of the years best records imo. not surprising considering their pedigree. they kicked major ass live @ SXSW too

apparently Godaddy decided to puke overnight

yeah, seems like if the facts are as they're stated in the article, he has a decent case, but it should be directed towards the labels really. royalties are often a pretty ugly deal and getting shafted on them is hardly rare sadly.

Sony going crazy milking every last little bit out of the band while they can for these re-issues (the band hasn't been signed to Sony in a number of years now).
-
yup. even though I was really really bummed with what all went down with the Boquist bros. and the lineup bait and switch, that record def sounded like a man re-energized.
