have had it for a few months now... it's pretty good, but much more Creekdippers-ish than Jayhawks. maybe a little better than Vagabonds, but i'm not gonna lie, i was a bit let down by it.
-
that's the official... i think the cover art changed after New West picked it up
-
yeah, i was not that big on the last record. much much preferred Atlas Sound at that point.
-
yeah it is... not in my top 5 just yet, but loving the hell out of it. not sure why i didn't really dig it when it first leaked earlier this summer.
-
yes.

I was introduced to these guys earlier this summer from a friend of mine who booked them to play an outdoor Arts Festival and was blown away by their live show, especially considering how young they are. They have finally finished their debut full length and i'm loving the hell out of it. It's certainly more polished than their earlier EP, but retains a lot of the raw production and vibe of their live show. definitely one of the better local Twin Cities releases this year, and i can't stop listening to it so i thought i'd share: The Absent Arch - Keep Calm and Carry On
-
thanks... i've got tickets to both shows here (first night THS closes, second night DBT), but i think i may go see the Rosebuds + Megafaun on the 2nd night looks like a blast

it's gonna end up being 364 after NC is called for Obama eventually... wow IN was already called for him Lou
-
holy fucking shit. good going!!!!!
-
was in line at 6:45, out by 7:50, not too bad giddyup.

while I agree there's been a ton of negativity in this race, the positivity (well at least following Obama the last 18 months) has been inspiring to me and far outweighs any of the negativity... but them again i'm a pretty outgoing/positive person who hates to dwell on negatives.
-
you forgot the McCain "air quotes" around "lost"
-
i'm keeping my expectations low as well, only way to remain sane
-
i can understand your skepticism... but we shall see i think there's a lot of other factors at work in Obama's favor that have not been covered in the polls either, so who knows...
-
well, if true, that makes me feel better... (about the election, not Florida in general)
-
history dictates most undecideds at this late in the game don't vote...
-
those were probably already "shredded"
-
agreed... for every 1 person who won't vote for Obama cuz of his race, there will be 3+ who will (not going to debate the merits of that, but still) and the ones that do poll cell phones have mostly higher margins for Obama

Thousands of Voter docs found on the side of the highway in Tampa, FL... http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/myfox/pages/N...mp;pageId=3.2.1 wtf? can FL just secede please? clearly they are too incompetent down there... (sorry bobbob)

My full prediction: Obama 311 McCain 227 Obama takes NV, CO, NM, OH, VA, loses FL, IN, MO (although i could see one of MO or IN flipping) well his national poll average at this moment stands at 7.5%, so that's good
-
on some better news... Obama's campaign manager, David Plouffe is expecting his second child today
-
Obama's grandmother passed away today
-
this is one poll that i CAN rig... which one did you vote for?
-
nobody's saying that... you're the one claiming that Democrats were stupid with that comic, i just posted a few facts, that many would take to mean the opposite of that, but make of them what you will. and nobody's saying that about college graduates, but the fact that the right has made being well educated into somehow a NEGATIVE thing over the last decade is disgusting and sad. and yeah, as someone pointed out, it's elitism... but nevermind me, i'm not a college graduate either.
