ditto. friend of mine has those people tattoo'd on his arm... no lie.
-
see below they even said they're from Lexington at the show
-
they headlined yeah it was w/ Horse Feathers (great band, but sadly their performance was lost in the chatty bar, kinda bummed me out) and These United States (really good band from Kentucky, they were only playing as a trio that night)
-
guessing they'll move up to 600-1000 capacity venues in some markets. they sold out a 350-400 capacity bar here a week and a half ago.
-
knowing your taste and the bands they remind me of (Flaming Lips, Wilco, Grandaddy, Kinks, etc.), i think you'll quite like it
-
and this is another US tour? not Europe or anything?
-
the vinyl is pretty cheap! that cover looks awesome on vinyl
-
prolly thinking of Fleet Foxes, another Pac NW band on Sub Pop
-
bigger. My Morning Jacket, Wilco, etc.
-
hoping they can get on a good tour as an opener to boost their visibility a bit
-
they played the title track on Conan last night... was just OK to be honest. they were much better in St. Paul last week but yeah, album is amazing. still my fave on the year
-
Tour in Feb/March too he's being backed by Hacienda
-
not as awful as expected, but still not good really
-
w/o a doubt my fave record of the year. don't see anything surpassing it really either great live show as well
-
i have a feeling that making her Secretary of State opens up opportunities for certain circumstances that might disqualify her from running for President ever again... so there's that.
-
gorgeous. can't wait for that puppy on vinyl!

low self esteem. Justin was at the Megafaun + Rosebuds show here in St. Paul last night, played a song with each and sang along w/ the crowd on the Rosebuds last 3 songs (played on the floor in front of the stage). awesome show. have some iPhone videos: http://www.qik.com/solace

it's happening!!! HOLY FUCKING SHIT AAHH http://www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/ne...3041&pnum=0 All back to my place Neil Finn awaits the arrival of his musical mates at Roundhead studios for the next 7 Worlds Collide series and recording sessions. Photo / Richard Robinson Tonight, Neil Finn has invited a few friends over to his place for a sing-song. It's just a small gathering really. Just Finn, some musical mates ... oh and an invited audience of 40 or so, a small team of sound and radio people, and four bands - the Motts, Dictaphone Blues, Dr Colossus and Naked and -
me too... it's not like this is a blatant money making scheme, Rod's much more popular on his own.

Tallest Man on Earth is effing amazing too, these are going to be incredible shows

What about the possibility of Honda & Toyota buying out GM & Ford, converting all of the assembly lines to their models over a few year cycle? Far fetched, yes, but as it's been pointed out... the execs at these American auto companies have their heads so far up their asses, i don't know if bailing them out will have any real impact on steering them in the right direction. Why not let the car companies who ARE doing things right, both for their workers, and environmentally with their cars, etc. take over and allow most all GM & Ford employees to keep their jobs. they shouldn't ha
