  3. I go the cheap route Ive got a strat wanna be made by Conn and an Oscer Schmidt ,by Washburn, Delta Blues hollow body. I play out of a Crate power block with 2X12 cab ith 2 75w speakers, and an mxr overdrive pedal. I'm getting a Holy Grail and a Rat. Acoustic I have a Simon Patrick with an LR baggs pu. (it's been played and signed by JT) anyway...cheap but I do have my guitars set up by a guy who was on the las U2 tour and was the guitar tech for Gavin Rossdale, and tour manager for the band Helmet during their last couple of tours. I think they sound alright.

  5. It was a fun night. The drive home sucked, but the music? It was well worth it! How about the hoof clippings Phil? I talked to Paul Fonfara of the Painted Saints (I actully bought one of his prints, they're pretty cool) and mentioned that when he was playing accordian ( or was it a bandoneon?) he reminded me of David Eugene Edwards of 16 Horsepower. He the told me that he is origianally from Denver, and that he and Edwards had done some work in the past. Neat! Yeah that story about the cat puppet and the flamming drum set was great! 5 takes on that video! BTW this is Rob It w

  12. They all look like undercover cops to me. Now you'll wonder what they're looking at while we're looking at them. It's a Department of homeland security/ DEA/FBI/FCC taskforce up there! (FDA too?)
  13. Like peanut butter'n jelly! Probably why I'm into wilco now... Replacements lead me to Golden Smog (Chris Mars). I got into Soul Asylum, Jayhawks, Wilco, Run Westy Run, and Iffy. (UT). I actually saw the Replacements last show in Minneapolis. The opening band were the local heros The Geardadies. At the Geardadies"last show" at a fairgrounds in Austin MN. We saw UT, Run Wesy, Honey Dogs and the Jayhawks play at that muddy sloppy show. After that I saw as many GS, Jayhawks, and Iffy shows I could see. I guess the same goes with WILCO. Minnesota was pretty cool place at that time.
  14. $x (or oil)=Freedom? What we pay for oil is too much. I would pay all for freedom. I haven't had my freedom taken from me.
  15. 4000 US dead, Unknown Iraqi casulties. 3 trillion in debt for my kids to pay. That's the price of gas for me. I'll be riding my bike to work, but we are driving to St. louis to see the boys. I guess I'm the International enabler!

  19. Bon Iver in Chicago' Lakeshore Theater 4-10-08 I highly recomend these guys (this guy) If you are looking for some decent music... It wasn't planned. The goal was to hibernate. Justin Vernon moved to a remote cabin in the woods of Northwestern Wisconsin at the onset of winter. Tailing from the swirling breakup of his long time band, he escaped to the property and surrounded himself with simple work, quiet, and space. He lived there alone for three months, filling his days with wood splitting and other chores around the land. This special time slowly began feeding a bold, uninhib
