it's nice that the band hired a chauffeur for the evening...is this nels' retirement plan? edit: mikael looked so smartly dressed last night! i'm smitten.
  2. i think my mom lived in that zip code before she had me... why would zipcode matter when making a request? [shrug]
  3. eric mccann from the new amsterdams jonny greenwood of radiohead wayne coyne [flaming lips] jonathan delehanty [
  4. i need a collection of glenn photos, too! in the mean time, i have some of other very good-looking gentlemen. luckily, that is me... ! in my wilco shirt!!! most likely posted already [didn't re-read the rest of the thread] i've heard i'm not joined in my pining after this fellow by many... went with me to my first wilco concert...someday we'll be in a 60's acid-pop band together. = ] [he's kind of a stinker, though...i hear he's telling people he's from chicago. ]
  5. i've changed my mind about bananas. i thought they were nasty when i was a kid--going as far as vomiting upon the first bite. i've also changed my mind about my job. it fucking sucks, as do the people who run my place of employment. they are shrewd, cheap people who lack the decency to communicate important things like meeting cancellations on dangerously snowy days...
  6. My boyfriend and I are staying at this resort for a night [or two? Not sure...]. It was originally a birthday present of his from last year, but it ended up that this was the first good weekend we would have for that. It's a lot more than I would normally consider doing for Valentine's day, but it's a nice chance to have a day off and get out of town for a bit. I would have to say that most Vdays are a supreme letdown, as I really didn't have someone to celebrate with [outside of my fambly...but you know]. Last year was the first I actually celebrated, and I wish I hadn't been so dumb as
  7. That's the most ass-backwards thing I've ever heard. I had a giant crush on Heath in '10 Things I Hate About You,' and [predictably] surprised about it as much as everyone else. = [ I still haven't seen Brokeback Mountain.
  8. the Michael Fish post made me laugh, because there is another who is also a meteorologist and, actually, very hot i took a meteorology class my first semester at UWM and he was the TA for another of the discussion sections [not mine -_-;;]. he had to sub for my TA for one class, and i soooooo stayed after class that week for "help." i pretty much wet myself when he was in my cashier window at the casino...
  9. female. 5'5" thirty-something records including... and a recording of Plymouth High School band and choir from 1967.
  10. i don't think those titties could get any closer to his ears with a push-up on.
  11. Halfbird is great! Halfmole Halfbird was my myspace name for a while. I haven't purchased or listened to Friend Opportunity yet, but I have been meaning to pick it up. Maybe it's a good day for a trip to the record store... I was really into them for a while, and I still really like listening to the Runners Four, Milk Man [fucking hilarious listening to Satomi sing ^_^], and the Green Cosmos EP.
  12. You can't help but notice that the more people like any band or musician, the more assholes show up at concerts, making them far less enjoyable. Feist was my darling until snot-nosed, ugg-wearing 16 year olds started coming to her shows. Maybe it makes me a bitch, too; I definitely think it comes from my discovery of and love for Wilco/Radiohead. I think it's great that the music I listen to is getting more exposure, because the people that make it deserve that. I wish that burgeoning popularity, though, less often made me feel like an illegitimate fan... *whimper* pretty damn shal
  13. I don't understand, either, but he said enough denoting the behavior of rabid fans that I had to stop and ponder exactly why and how he said what he did. Perhaps there is no logical answer...
  14. You gonna give me something extra for coming back to the flock? Let's make a deal.
  15. I got into Wilco right after the Wilco Book came out [because of heavy discussion about it on a Radiohead forum]. The people there told me to listen to Jesus, Etc... It sounded so different and beautiful to me. Jeff sounded to me like the kind of person that I needed in my life at the time. I latched on to YHF quickly and got into AGIB and Summerteeth [inherently Kicking Television, as well...], but I really didn't get Being There, AM or any of the Uncle Tupelo material until summer 2006 [which was when I finally got to see them live, and hence realized that they pretty much pwn all other
  16. my poor dad, brother and sister were silly enough to stand outside for 5+ hours to sell programs at that game. so disappointing...
  17. I ain't Reni, but I suppose I'll contribute my $.02... I'm not one to take an uber-feministic stance on this, because I [too, for reasons other than just "looks"] would rather remain petite and slender rather than to have that "extra helping of backside." Just like everyone else [Nick Lachey, Tony Romo {pretty soon, anyway}, Hollywood in general], I'm pretty tired of Jessica Simpson. Not that I was or ever will be a fan of hers, but her lack of intelligence is a complete turn-off and [if other females are anything like me] more people possibly attracted to her personality will find out that
  18. i hate that. i get that too often, lately, because for some reason i just can't hold it in! i'm sure you all wanted to hear that... btw...never had piss shivers, but my back seizes up alot for some other unknown reason.
  19. being walked on is the best part! lollapalooza '06 yummy.
  20. i'm going to make sure that i have no night classes so i can hit all five nights up. i am more excited for this than for anything in my entire life! i would be willing to drive for a carpool from milwaukee, which may include bunking together if we decide to be friends soon... bus or train info sharing would be appreciated as well. how sweet would it be to have a bus with a few of us giddy freaks on it? pm me if interested edit: megabus is a great deal...just a buck per seat at times, little more at others. FUN! union station is 8 miles away from the riv, though...
  21. let's come up with muppets for the rest of wilco! dr. bunsen honeydew for mikael
  22. i just about shit myself. fuck yeah for trains from milwaukee to chicago every day!
  23. i'm putting in my paid time off request TODAY. who cares if it's the first weekend of the semester? i have to go. chicago is not far enough away for me to whine.
