I got rid of this record when I was really getting into the underground stuff in college and purging my collection of everything mainstream. That was a mistake. The band may be a parody of themselves now, but: That is some SERIOUS rock n' roll right there.

But yeah every time I go into a record store, I think about picking one of the ones up that are on that list, and usually wind up not, because of the above. But I'm sure that I will at some point.

...when my oldest son was 2 he did stuff that 2-year-olds do, in messing around with stuff, and completely blew out my stereo. I have not been able to replace that thing since then and have, therefore, not been able to listen to any of my vinyl. There's a lot of stuff that I replaced, but even more that I need to re-buy on CD that I miss quite a bit. Do y'all have any stuff that you need to replace for a similar reason? What? I loved the Fixx. Especially that rhythm guitar sound they had.

They played that on Saturday and it was pretty great, as was the whole show. I haven't seen my wife dance like that since Jerry died. Seriously, she was all over the place and I just watched her most of the time, being completely entertained. The band was outstanding. Real high-energy and just a lot of fun. I could've listened to a couple of those songs all night. And if, within the next 10 years or so, "Wagon Wheel" does not become a bona fide classic that everyone knows, then there is no justice.
