http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/phillies/20110810_Trailing_6-0__Phillies_rally_to_beat_Dodgers__finish_trip_9-1.html goooooodness, these are heady times for phillies phans. as a 10 year old in 1976, i witnessed my fathers clubhouse celebration from the comfort of his recliner. He laughed, he cried, laughed again, only to sob without apology, shaking and spraying Pabst Blue Ribbon all over the den, stopping only for toasts with the players (on that state of the art 27 inch RCA). What's wrong Dad, i thought. later, I came to understand that he'd waited since the 1950 whiz kids to exp

kingpin! sorry to hear the grooves werent pushin yer shoes! can't deny some tempos were laid low - but that was richmond 85 and stanley 79, so , as you well know...we get what we get. so many factors make/ break the experience: friends, vibes, po-po - security - i've shared your critique at times -early other ones, robben ford stuff,,,and have also left early, too. maybe inching closer to the never ending tour model, every once in a while, ya just gotta get there. and then all bets are either off, or ON..but typically somewhere in the middle. and i'll take it, and be thankful for what

did we ever! it was HOT, the crowd was great, and the band was absolutely fantastic. and we even pulled the "can't find my car" for old times sake! mann staff and concessions were understaffed, but oh well. "caddyshack" played quite well, bobby was in great voice and phil was phil (my favorite). chimenti is also stretching out. great show - highlights for me - Greatest story, Quinn (set closer), shakedown (set II opener) help-slip-frank, and double encore: fool in the rain/ omsn. wow thats alot of highlights!!

1. I purchased Summerteeth through one of those Columbia House "Buy 10 for a penny" promos (then immediately cancel................too funny) and fell in love from the first note. i remember absolutely insisting some friends listen to "She's a Jar" which they found peculiar for a title, bt agreed the song was a winner. from there I went backwards, and although AM and Tupelo took me in a different direction somewhat, I've come to cherish those records. 2. philly tower theater maybe 2008??? had a hell of a time getting tickets on the shadier secondary market- eventually scored two tix in the
