  1. I still stand by my original comment that they have been a tribute band since dickey left.
  2. Thanks. Don't know why he is so mad. Not trying to piss off anyone. In fact allmans are one of my all time favs.
  3. Just my opinion...I am sure many would disagree....they have been selling tickets for years......$200+ per and have played hundreds if not thousands of show....I am happy for them. I have seen a few since Dickey left and for me it was not great. They are really no different then any "heritage band" that plays only the classic songs....because nobody wants to hear any new songs.
  4. It's not about how many members really...just the key members. When you lose the whole front line (Dickey, Duane and Berry) it's over...sorry.
  5. Dickey's is a Dickey...but he is right about the ABB being a tribute band.
  6. so if 8/29 is anniversary they should play the whole thing at the show....how awesome would that be.

So pearl jam just played no code and yield in entirety back to back night. Wouldn't be surprised to see wilco do entire in order during this run at some point. Just a feeling
  10. Stern is the best interviewer in the business right now.....he has some advantages because he has all the time in the world (as opposed to TV when you are limited to 15 minutes or less). Neil basically said Croz fucked up and didnt make it right and had chances but too late now....did not detail what exactly it was but timing seems right. Interesting I saw an interview with CSN with Dan Rather that must have been taped before this because Croz was speaking about Neil like no issues. Who really wants to see CSNY again anyway....we Want Crazy Horse
  11. Florida Governor Debate. Why does shit like this seem to happen in in Florida. Funny as hell....traces all the way back to when Kennedy Made Nixon sweat.
  12. Not really on topic but when talking about "Rock and Roll" I have to agree that it is a very wide net. Example I saw last night on the Genesis Showtime documentary. They said (in direct interviews) that the song Mama...when he laughs, they got that from Grandmaster Flash....It;s like a Jungle sometimes it makes me wonder why I keep from going under ha, ha, ha,...ha. So the influences come from some strange places sometimes. Also, Neil Young proved it when he made Shocking Pinks...when Geffen told him to and a Rock and Roll record....he came out with Everybody's Rockin. I think the "Rock
  13. I agree on Cars but I would put them behind some other I would Like to see (Chicago, Yes, Cheep Trick, Moody Blues,...some others). Problem with Cars is they were not great live (at least the few time I saw them).....but they should be in.
  14. They were both nominated last year and did not get the votes...A guy from Yes said they were 20 votes short....guess the Nom Com did not want them back on ballot this year....next year I bet for at least 1 of them. IN fact DP was nominated 2 years in a row. I agree with you guys on Zevon....bad snub
  15. Overall the list is pretty good...would have like to see some of the "Class Rock Bands" get some (Yes, DP, Cheap Trick, Moody's, CHicago.....). I would trade out Withers and Sting for Steve Miller and Warren Zevon. Also Heavy Metal we need some in there....Def Lep...... Green Day is a lock that is for sure.
  16. Saw him on Ellen yesterday. It just seemed weird, maybe wife had connection. Wonder if Wilco will ever be on Ellen.
  17. Bad is great but the "recorded version" only shows a start of how great it could be....see live version on some 4 song cd they had after initial release. Not sure of name but it had 4 songs and Bad live was on it.....that was epic...and of course the Live Aid Version.
  18. Yeah, I get RS and I like it but the reviews are a joke these days. Apparently no big acts have had a release less than 4 stars in forever.
  19. Ha...yes lets get them down here sooner than later. Most of my comments from the early days were about them coming down to So.Fl. Have to say they have been down here a good amount but it has been a little while I guess.
  20. Some funny lines I guess. http://noisey.vice.com/blog/the-123-worst-musicians-of-all-time
  21. LLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLL Why Why is he involved with that POS product....He certainly beats to his own drum...except when he goes on kickstarter, then he beats everyone elses drum.
  22. That is a good point. I am really shocked with this. I wonder what the divorce rate is for 70+ year olds with over 30 years married. It will be interesting to see if he has another relationship and what kind of girl. Would be funny if he hooked up with some young girl....or maybe not so funny. I heard he was coming on Stern soon.....looking forward to that interview.
  23. I like to speed read...sorry...OK...now with Biographies in the mix, I will come up with some good ones.
  24. Keith Richards...the first chapter alone is worth the price. Shakey is a Biography....does not count for this list I think. The thing about Waging Heavy Piece is that almost a commercial for Pono....brings it up like 10 times...who gives a shit about that crap. The WIlco (Learning) is also written by someone other than J Tweedy
