Never UT....Wilco has 75% chance....Smiths will be eventually 75% as well. I think Wilco will get in because they have a few things going...1. Quality string of great records. 2. Live group willing to mix it up a bit. 3. Story with the whole record label thing. A few things that will keep them out is lack of wide spread popularity, lack of influence (that could change).

New Neil Young album - with Crazy Horse!

Agree it is great but it is a biography...Neil didn't write it. In fact I think it going to be "authorized" but Neil got into it a bit with the the author before it came out. -

Wow great recvuew. New Madrid. Sweet -
I was thinking about this recently actually and there are many great shows (as noted with some above). I was thinking of ROOTS.

I will go with the Allman Brothers again. Like I did with the guitar thread

Bands you discovered by accident or as openers

Sweet how did you get plant to auto. When I saw them on that tour the fans were not into TBC at all and Chris was like. FU -
Bands you discovered by accident or as openers

Black crowes opened for robbery plant. They had hit on MTV but I heard twice as hard and I knew they were for real. Plus they were drinking jack on stage which you never see from openers in arena shows -
I have yet to listen...waiting for delivery of my CD (I know I am in dark ages but I need physical product) Read all great reviews except this....lol. http://lefsetz.com/wordpress/index.php/archives/2012/09/11/dylan/

Favorite bands with dual Lead Guitar Players
suites replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song
That is the first that came to mind with me....and Skynyrd Too. Hands down Duane and Dickey...listen any of the work, it is untoppable. Shame it did not last long MMJ Jim James plays some lead (more than just a little). How bout our boys...3 leads? Pearl Jam is not 2 leads....Stone plays 99% rhythm. -

Short Version: Racing Backstreets Thunder Road Jungleland Lost in the Flood My Beautiful Reward The Promise Ties That Bind Tunnel Of Love Many more masterpieces but that is my list for today

I know you guys don't really mean what you are saying. How long till someone posts "I miss Jay F". This lineup is like an evolution. This band puts it all out for us to see......2.5-3 hour sets of changing setlists, 100+ dates per year, new records in reasonable times, Jeff solo tours, open taping, live shows SB for sale.

Saw that tour in west palm beach. Only concert I ever went to myself. Wife wanted to go to MNF dolphins. So I drove 1.5 hours. First full wilco show. Carefree theatre. Like an old movie theatre. Great show but it was before I recorded shows and never heard the show. I remember when they encores there was nowhere to go so they opened the side door and just hung out for second

Ran across this today...pretty good.

Pitchfork http://www.pitchfork.com/peopleslist/ Looks like the boys have 3 (unless I missed #4 or more). I think Radiohead has more on list than they actually made.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band
suites replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Someone Else's Song
Agree the Tele is not the best thing....but he does play over 100 songs over a tour...so say he played 20-25 like 99% of bands and the same every night maybe he would not need. Fact is he plays 30-35 songs a night and if he does 2 nights in city he changes 15 or so...that is like 50 songs in 2 nights...plus he is getting old. Max works his ass off every night 3-4 hours....all he can do to get through each night I bet. -
Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band

Sick...if you go on the backstreets message board they always have sightings at Duke and Boston (not sure which college there). I would freak out but prob. not say a word....it's the BOSS. -
I think they actually aired it later that night. When they were about to leave Al Michaels/Bob C said that the Who would be on later...then when I saw schedule there was more stuff relating to Olympics which I recored but did not watch yet....After the Vet show and Local News.. The left out Ray Davies and Kate Bush among others....maybe they were on the later show...IDK

I bought it and it is pretty cool...but very heavy....and expensive but I am a sucker
-
I think technically they are a great band (much better then Heartbreakers, who are in HOF) but they are like Crazy Horse in that they just wait by the phone when not with THE BOSS OR SHAKEY.
