  1. Nobody can beat The Band is this category for me. Simply the best
  2. Eric Johnson tonight (I think he's playing with Will Lee and Anton Fig too) should be a good show
  3. I thought about going to that but ended up deciding not too. I have yet to really hear any Dr. Dog that really moves me that much at all
  4. I don't really mean that though. Thats been the case for a long time now. They, for the first time, just don't really seem like Led Zeppelin anymore. They way they answered the questions and everything really just made it seem like this was clearly the last hurrah, and now that it's being released on DVD, that it will close out the history of Zeppelin.
  5. ^ that it is. That press conference kind of solidifies for me that this is it for Led Zeppelin
  6. Pearl Jam openers. My Morning Jacket in '06 and Band of Horses in '10. Bright Light Social Scene - opening for Umphrey's.
  7. haha yeah, more or less. Definitely does have one hell of an accent though
  8. I very briefly met Liam Gallagher last year and he was actually very nice. I ran into him on the street in Boston after a show and he took a second to stop and say hello.
  9. ^ I still consider Stone lead. My favorite solos on PJ songs (and some all time favorites) are Stone solos
  10. Kinda sick, but I'm supposed to see Steve Vai tonight. Not sure if I'll end up going or not though
  11. ^ Don't the honorees usually not play at the Kennedy Center Awards though? Isn't it just people playing their music for them? I love that screw up. Too bad they're probably gonna take it out cause I'd love to see the closeup reactions of the band members as it happens
  12. ^ there isn't a SBD of the show, but there are something like 14 AUDs of it and you can hear that feedback in all of them
  13. For me the be all, end all of rhythm guitarists is Jeff Beck
  14. Yeah, there is some pretty horrendous microphonic feedback for the first few songs, as well as JP being too low in the mix. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTNQVijx8YE&feature=plcp Definitely the O2.
  15. I mean, vault release wise, the best would probably be a "How the East Was Won" type release of the multitracks from Japan '71 or the Bath '70 stuff, but I would be willing to bet that stuff will never see the light of day considering what Page has said about them
  16. It's pretty well assumed that those are for a dvd. It's been five years, and they're now counting down (four was put up this morning). Also Jimmy's manager has been tweeting about it for a while
  17. It was an interesting show. I didn't know the majority of the first set, but I thought the Clockwork Angels stuff was worth the price of admission alone. It was truly incredible
  18. Opening night of Rush's Clockwork Angels tour tonight
  19. Just saw him again last Sunday night in Philly. Longest show I've ever seen clocking in at 3 hours and 43 minutes. Good lord this man will not stop
  20. They record all of their shows and have been for a fairly long time. Also, acoustics in the room really don't affect the sound of these recordings. May make a little difference night to night in the mix, but these are not like AUDs. If the sound guy is any good, they should be fairly consistent from night to night
  21. Hell yeah! 'Bout damn time they followed the livedownloads type format. Hopefully this will evolve into a bigger thing and we'll see some archival releases
  22. I was hoping to go to Made in America, but I have tickets for Springsteen on Sunday, and I have a feeling that that is the night they're going to be playing too
  23. Fantastic damn show tonight. Very glad I made the trip down from Yellowstone. Band energy was through the proverbial roof, and Red Rocks was incredible as always
