  1. Not at all. Downloading it and waiting for the normal CD release was my plan before I even found out that CD release was announced too.
  2. Regular CD release is March 28th, looks like. I'll be buying that.
  3. Yeah, I wouldn't listen to it frequently either. But for watching it one time, I loved it. It was fun. Kinda like a cross between modern Dylan vocals (and the jokes have all been made; nothing more needs to be said) and classic Dylan music. The backing vocals were awesome too. The harmonica "solo" was stupid though. Totally pointless.
  4. Yeah, I loved it. He didn't move around anywhere near that much the two times I saw him live. The musical backing was a little rough, but I liked it that way. Made the whole thing more genuine. I guess it was a tribute to acoustic music, and it totally had that kind of amateur vibe going in, in a good way.
  5. Man, that Dylan performance was awesome. I though Mumford & Sons and the Avett Brothers were fairly generic modern folk stuff, but I really enjoyed that version of Maggie's Farm. Haven't seen Dylan groovin' that much in a while. He was having a blast.
  6. Don't like the title at all, and I'm not too keen on spending $50 for a Radiohead album, but cool news nonetheless.
  7. Don't really understand why people still download porn. Anyway, I only use torrents for the rare times when I want to watch a movie I don't have and can't quickly buy. Anything musical that I can't buy for whatever reason can almost always be easily found on sites like mediafire.
  8. It was early in the week, during days the team wasn't even practicing. Nowhere near the same as partying it up the night before a game. If I were Mike Tomlin, I'd want my players doing something that isn't sitting in a hotel room stressing out about a game that's almost a full week away.
  9. Who cares? They're grown dudes, and the non-practice days of Super Bowl week are essentially vacation in a flashy new town. What's wrong with taking in that place's nightlife?
  10. I'd be shocked if it's anything but self produced. I'm just not as fond of Lanois as many people. His style worked on (most) of the Dylan shit he did, but those records had Dylan writing pretty dreary songs, and I don't see Tweedy doing that this time around. And even then, I like a lot of TOOM songs better live than on record.
  11. Absolutely not on Lanois. Jeff isn't writing the kind of songs these days that would work with the Lanois treatment.
  12. This song could win a bunch of "best _____" threads, bass especially. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXwshfzG5zI
  13. Very well. And all his solo releases are worth it. It's far too early to rank Hotel Shampoo among his already outstanding solo/band catalogue, but it's really impressive. Let me/us know what you think!
  14. Eh, I'm not crazy about the name/word/whatever you call it dBpm in any context. But the label (and Anti being the parent label) itself is good news. Side note, that group promo picture has always weirded me out. Tweedy especially.
  15. Hoped for a better label name (dBpm is a bit lame, not Anti), but cool news either way. From the few albums of theirs I have, Anti seems to excel in packaging. Always a good sign.
  16. Agreed! Fantastic album. I've read some people say it's almost too much of Gruff in his comfort zone (including Gruff himself) but these songs are too good for that to matter. And the album's a near perfect length. Highlights for me are Columbus, Sensations, Honey, Words and Vitamin K. But there's nothing I don't love on there. He's already got the best catalogue of pop music around these days, and it's amazing that he keeps adding more to it.
  17. Queens of the Stone Age are 5/5 with great albums, and a potential 6th on the way.
  18. That, and he just signed a six book deal. Two sequels to Chronicles, one book based on his radio show, and then three more of some sort. Really looking forward to Chronicles Volumes 2-3.
  19. Stream is down. But I listened once, and it was all it should be. Gruff is too damn talented. Definitely looking forward to listening more.
  20. I'm probably looking too deep into this, but there are too many "amateur with photoshop" things in that poster for me to accept it as real. Lineup's not bad, if that's real. I've never gone to Bonnaroo, and I probably won't this year either, but that could be a good weekend of music.
