How much does it cost to rent Red Rocks? That depends on the type of event and the time of year. Red Rocks booking manager Jeannette Murrietta says a typical concert costs "upwards of $100,000," including fees for equipment, security, vendors and the venue itself. The rental fee alone for concerts and other ticketed events is 11 percent of admission revenue or $7,500, whichever is greater. Started Infinite Jest January 1st. Finished it yesterday. Loved every second of it, even the footnotes to the footnotes. Found it way more accessible than Gravity's rainbow. Would also have to put it in my top books of all time category. Even after a solid month and a half of reading it I was in no hurry for it to end. Now I guess I'll page through this thread and figure out what to read next.

According to Amazon it came out 2/3/15 as an import. All the tracks are on youtube. I recommend "Buffalo" or "Detroit" as a first listen to see if you like it. It certainly has the classic Supergrass type melodies and vocals but is more electronic and experimental. Kind of Radiohead in some ways. I was pleasantly surprised by it.

I do occassionally buy vinyl but only very special releases. Can't bring myself to pay $25 - $30 for a new album on vinyl. I'm way too cheap.

I still buy way too many of them. Still find them the most convenient for listening in car and on my computer at work.
