I had not heard about this, that's a heck of a group of good musicians. Bonamassa is the real deal on guitar.

I was at a Pearl Jam show where Eddie Vedder lit up a cigarette, took a puff, and passed it into the crowd, I was right in front of him behind one other guy. I let it go over my head after the first guy took a puff. I really had no desire to share a cigarette with Eddie or anyone else.

Remastered with the extra track "Far Post". Some great guitar playing on hear by Robbie Blunt, this album holds up for me.

A guy is offering to sell me a handmade 3x10 Supro Tremolectric amplifer, mint condition for around $1000. Sounds like a great deal to me. Anybody have experience with these amps?

The Lakers always seem to get at least one gimme game because the other team doesn't show up. I hate the Lakers but they at least seem to bring it every night, especially when it matters. I'm trying to have faith Boston can win a game 7 in L.A.. Lakers have pretty much been Boston's beeyatch throughout history.

SRV at Red Rocks in 1985 (I think) - Sandwiched between Talk Talk and Berlin on the bill. First of many SRV shows for me. Pearl Jam on Halloween at the greek theatre in Berkeley - Just a cool show with the band really loose, early 90's, Henry Rollins and American Music Club opened. Guided By Voices - Rober Pollard hands me a Budweiser from the stage. Gang of Four - Band was incredible, just a mass of humanity dancing and singing to every song. Paul Westerberg - Loose and having fun, dropped his pants to show the injury he recieved the day before and sang most the song in his underwe

In honor of the recent RUSH thread I bring you Subdivisions. I don't care what anybody says, these are great lyrics about suburban alienation: Sprawling on the fringes of the city In geometric order An insulated border In between the bright lights And the far unlit unknown Growing up it all seems so one-sided Opinions all provided The future pre-decided Detached and subdivided In the mass production zone Nowhere is the dreamer or the misfit so alone (Subdivisions) In the high school halls In the shopping malls Conform or be cast out (Subdivisions) In the basement bars In the backs of ca

At the wedding I was at 2 weeks ago, the father/Bride dance was to "Forever Young" which I thought was cool. Speaking of Bob, buy some of his art (handsigned) here: Dylan Artwork for sale

The new Mojo CD was put together by Tom Waits and is all songs that influenced him. It's fantastic. Son House - John the Revelator Bob Dylan (at 20) - I was young when I left home Ray Charles, Howlin Wolf, Harry Belafonte, Hank Williams, really good stuff.

No kidding, the level of Kobe asskissery by several announcers is painful. I love when Kobe makes a bad play (Rondo jumping over him to tip a ball in, Pierce ripping the ball right out of his hands) and he immediately looks around for someone to blame. Boston! Boston! Boston!

I have seen Eric Johnson live several times, makes me want to quit playing every time he is so good. Were you the guitar player in the band? I have been playing for 25 years and would still never attempt Zap or Cliffs of Dover. Impressive.

Well, since I couldn't get a PS3 I decided to start Bioshock. Enjoying the heck out of it, very creepy and well done.

I saw Mr. Big open for them as well so it must have been the Presto tour? That's pretty cool you were at that show, I remember hearing about that incident. He has a guitar pick attached to a drill so he can play even faster than he already does. Of course they all had that big 80's hair so it's no wonder things got hung up. Did he just kind of creep off stage? Did he come back on stage after that? I just remember thinking Mr. Big were pretty awful. Dissapointing, because there are some monster musicians in that band.

I remember when Signals first came out I absolutely hated it. Now I love that album. RUSH was always like that for me starting with that album. I never liked the new stuff when it first came out, then I would try again a year or 2 later and enjoy it way more. I remember seeing them debut Limelight and Tom Sawyer on SCTV and loving that stuff immediately. Certainly after the mid 80's I lost my fervor for them although they did put out good stuff through the 90's as well. I really have not listened to anything they put out since 1996 althought I'm sure I would probably like some of it.

Do you ever wish you could just put down the camera and watch a show or does it not really take away from it?

The opening song is very Weiland, rhyming drug with drugs: I like it when you talk about love You were always my favorite Drug Even when we used to take drugs.

Just found out they are playing in Denver the end of June at a restaurant, Date night with the wife! Have to admit I have not checked out the new one yet but I will.

I remember reading that Elton spends over $500 Mill a year on fresh flowers for his houses. He probably has some areas he can cut back if things get tough. -
I thought the same thing. It looks like it is going to take superhuman efforts for Boston to win going forward. Not sure you can count on Allen Raining 3's like that. I think Rondo has some more games in him like that one though. Bottom line, they won in LA against a motivated LA team which is impressive.

That sounds amazing, I'll be giving this one a spin.
