  1. Of course this was back in 2006. From Wine Spectator
  2. Ok, now you are just stressing me out because I can't keep up. But for gods sake don't stop.
  3. I'm not going to lie, I wish I knew what the hell everyone was talking about. I will be buying the CD though so I guess I will find out.
  4. Another song about the Rain - Cracker
  5. Make sure and post the link. I still have Sabbath on cassette and vinyl only, except Vol. 4 which is my fave. Are there good remastered CD's with extras that have been released or is there a plan to do that? I don't want to buy them all on CD and have these great deluxe re-issues come out right afterwards. On another note, this album got 5 stars in MOJO, anybody heard it? Tinnitus?:
  6. I would have to give some thought to the questions. So many great live moments. But Congrats on the win, great vinyl to have!
  7. I switched to a Sansa and wiped Itunes from my computer because the constant updating was driving me nuts. My daughter just won an Ipod so I suppose I'm going to have to deal with that again.
  8. Great DBT show on Friday, I just downloaded it from CO tapers. Place was packed. Patterson Hood did a great job of getting 2 people thrown out that were fighting right next to us. He was all over that. 1. Intro (Your Woman Is A Living Thing) @ 2. Drag The Lake Charlie 3. Where The Devil Don't Stay 4. The Forth Night of My Drinking 5. Birthday Boy 6. Girls Who Smoke 7. 9. Very sad, from all accounts a very nice guy. I was fortunate to see him back in the late 80's.
  10. When I was about 14 my step mom saw some teenage girls throw garbage out of their car. She jumped in front of the car before they could drive off and made them pick it up. At the time I was pretty mortified but I was impressed. I don't have the guts to do something like that.
  11. I have seen people just dump a full ashtray from their car. I guess they don't consider it garbage. It's like that old Steve Martin joke about how likes having a litter bag in his car so when it's full he can just toss it out the window.
  12. Started working my way through these. I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes.
  13. National on Letterman In case anyone missed it. I didn't see Sean Lennon but I'm pretty sure Sufjan Stevens was doing some vocals.
  14. Took a brief break from the National but now I'm diving back in.
  15. I have such great memories of The Wall. I used to work at a pizza place with a friend and the two of us were always closing it down. We would throw on that cassette, start drinking all the beer and playing video games. I was 17 years old. I think we did that for about a year. Best job I ever had.
  16. Day off work, sitting in a cool bar watching baseball, drinking an IPA.
  17. Afraid of everyone was transcendent on Letterman tonight. I'll defend my family with my orange umbrella I'm afraid of everyone, I'm afraid of everyone With my shining blue star spangling tennis shoes on I'm afraid of everyone, I'm afraid of everyone With my kid on my shoulders I try Not to hurt anybody I like But I don't have the drugs to sort, I don't have the drugs to sort it out, sort it out I don't have the drugs to sort it out, sort it out
  18. When I first listened to this album I was kind of wishing it had some heavier type tunes like Alligator has, but now I'm realizing I was wrong. This album is just really growing on me with more listens. He does have a way with lyrics and the songs are heavy in a different way.
  19. Not to mention Lebron completely sucked. I'm not counting the Cavs out yet but Lebron needs to quit worrying about endorsements and going to New York and get his head back in the game.
  20. The wall is definitely new, the new technology has made it much lighter than the old one, and much safer (from what I read). I got my tickets for $65 after fees. Granted I'm going to be in the Sherpa section but I figure with the video monitors and props and everything it will be fine. I saw Roger a few years ago from the cheap seats and it was awesome. The pig floated right on over to us.
