When someone like that Adam guy is considered "too edgy" (read gay) to win, you know there is something wrong with the show. He was clearly the more entertaining of the two and a better singer.

I know someone mentioned it but I would have liked "Nova" to go on a little longer at the end. It starts to really build and then just kind of ends. Maybe more screaming and freaking out by Jeff.

Good question. I have not actually heard whether they get along at all. I assume they don't "speak". I don't know how you give up a guitar like that. Even though the gold tops are supposed to be the cheap Les Pauls, painted to cover the inferior wood.

Yep, he was reading a ton of Raymond Carver during the recording of Daydream Nation. It's interesting that Carver actually died during the recording of the album. I will have to check out the "Confusion is next" book.

I'm assuming this is a "co-headlining" thing? I would actually rather see Son Volt headline with an opening band.

The only times I can remember being annoyed at at show: 2 morons get in a fistfight and one of them is holding a beer that proceeds to splash all over a bunch of us. Some guys (like 3) trying to Mosh at an Alice in Chains concert when not a single other person wanted to join in. Other than that, sing, dance, talk about setlists, enjoy!

For the lower end stuff I always thought Taylor was a better buy than Martin but I have to say, you are probably not going to find a better deal than that. Not even sure Taylor sells a guitar at that price.

I loved the Departed. Nice Scorcese-like ending to it. Vera's character was kind of a distraction to the story, I have to agree with Sir Stewart. But damn, I kept wishing for her to show up again.

I learned something, I had no idea those things were called "crotales". Not even sure how to pronounce it. Dave Mathews did a very nice job on the House rerun I watched last night. Other than that, no comment.
