--Actor Michael J. Fox has stated that he adopted the J. in his name as a homage to Pollard.[4] --Michael J. Pollard suggested the title "The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" for the Traffic song of the same name. Now you know the rest of the story. Actually I think I'm due for an Avatar change.

We built this city comes to mind.

Yes, have a great Birthday. And what Lammy said.

Bee Thousand is the greatest record ever

It's probably in my top 5. It's just perfect from start to finish. What the hell is a Tractor Rape Chain? -
VCU is making this an interesting game!

Gonzaga makes it out of the first round.

I think we are talking 2 different songs here. "London is drowning and I live by the river" vs. "London is burning with boredom now".
-
Now that is the correct usage of a Clash song.

Off the top of my head Beautiful Boy - John Lennon All things must pass - Harrison (great choice Lammy) See what tomorrow brings - Arc Angels Gimme Shelter - Stones He ain't heavy,(he's my brother) - Hollies Answering Machine - The Mats

Los Lobos is still the only band I have seen attempt to cover "Tomorrow never knows" and do it justice.

I don't remember that one so I'm curious to hear who it was? I know Foo Fighters covered it recently at some tribute concert or something. I would have slept with one cradled in my arms.

Robery Cray did an album with the memphis horns a long time ago, it's pretty polished though, not sure it's the "dirty" type blues you are looking for. Some live BB King would have horns. Muddy Waters is good for some really dirty stuff. Albert Collins, that could work.

Garage a trois with Charlie Hunter on guitar. We showed up on the wrong night to see Kings of Leon (playing the next night) and since we were already there we went in. It was fantastic.

That would be strange to be interviewed and have "Neighbor of Bob Dylan" show up under your name.
-
Did he show self control? I would have had to crack one and at least play the chords to Baba O' Riley or something.
-
It sure did! Sounded like a lost "Amorica" tune or something. I could stand to hear a few more like that from them.

I knew it was not just me! I have one of those "Wiilco" shirts.

London's burning, not calling.

Interesting stuff. Sounds like they are going more and more down the path of more acoustic mellower stuff. Rich Robinson sitting there with a Sitar?

That's most def a book that will stick with you. I find myself thinking about it every once in awhile which is not the case with most books. It's really an absolute worst case scenario of how savage people could become given the bleakest of circumstances. Like Lord of the Flies x 10.

I love the Who. Saw the first farewell tour at Folsom Field in Colorado (John Cougar and Jethro Tull opening) but had the worst seats in the house. We were behind the stage basically. Pete just has an amazing guitar tone live, doesn't seem to matter what guitars he is using.

Once again my alma mater Colorado State fails to make the tournament. His picks are very much like mine. Does this mean I'm presidential material? If I win the VC pool (very unlikely), I'm putting it in my signature for the rest of the year so nobody forgets.

"Ring of Fire" was an abomination. That hot chick does that weird little shrug dance in every song that totally reduces her hotness.

Can't think of a single song by them I would ever care to hear again. And I pretty much love all the 70's music that was on the radio. Even the cheesy stuff. MOR is right.
