There is something about it that is almost too clever and kind of gross. But it is a very Westerberg line so I can look past it.

The usual California stars at Red lobster.

This should be easy to come up with but I'm struggling. If it's a good song, sometimes the lyrics are so bad they are actually kind of good. Maybe something by YES? Or how about: Baby learns to crawl, watching daddies skin. --- Paul Weserberg. Although that's actually kind of clever. Wait, how about Last in Line by Dio, metal is often good for bad lyrics: We're a ship without a storm Cold without the warm Light inside the darkness lit at peace We're a laugh without a tear Hope without the fear We are coming??..Home We're off to the Witch We may never never never come home But t

Good lord, they making that guitar out of adamantium or what? -
I always have to play Angels and fuselage about 3 times whenever I pull this one out. Such a haunting song.

But you have to love that the Beatles faces are hidden in the tree behind him.

He looked ageless and Evergreen! -
I have to agree, Dirty south and decoration day are faves. The Isbell years. But SRO is great. They have not changed much overr the years.

I look at his Mic and I see it keeps turning.

For the record, I had a sweet Mullet.

Nobody seems to care that captain and Tenille are getting divorced. "Love will keep us together" was all Lies!

I don't spend enough time on youtube, you find all sorts of amazing stuff. Edit: Oddly, even in this version he says "alright" at the 4:14 mark. Nice!

I like how Lennon says "alright" at the 4.14 mark of Revolution #9.

"Take it Phil" in this version of Two of us. Apparently an homage to the Everly Brothers which influenced the vocals on the track, at about 1:48. Although I suppose it could be Phil Spector.

Awesome. Gives me chills every time. -
Absolutely agree on Fuzz Machine. A fantastic album that I can't believe was not released. Apparently he was selling them at live shows and may still be doing that. I have a burned copy someone gave me and played the hell out of it.

Yeah, I would much rather he have someone else sing, his voice just does not do it for me. I still like Marc Ford's solo stuff better.

There is also the "Oh Owsley, can you hear me now" on the BBC version of Day Tripper. -

After Merry Clayton's voice cracks singing "Rape, murder" in Gimme Shelter you can hear what I assume is Mick saying "Yeah!". Love that. -
I always wondered about that! Sounds so much like a guitar. They were amazing musicians but the speed and chops to pay that so cleanly on the guitar would have been amazing. I know I have been trying (not that I'm any damn good). In the Beatles complete tablature book they have it tabbed out for guitar so i always assumed that's what it was.

Not very specific but there are several moments in "every picture tells a story" where Rod Stewart just seems to be conveying how great a time he is having doing the song. Just the little "Whooos" and things really add to the song for me. -
This one always struck me as a bad cover because it's really where Frampton started going the wrong direction. Here was this bad ass guitar player from Humble Pie and you just know the record company put the pressure on to market himself to the teen girls. "C'mon Peter, this will really shift some units!".
