Hey, there is only 1 of me according to this!
-
Yeah, how did that get so screwed up.
-
Just saw this one myself. I thought maybe the Zelig of music documentaries was not going to show up but there he was, David Fricke getting a picture with Jody Stephens. Loved some of the footage of Alex on those obscure shows like when he was part of Panther Burns. Meat Puppets, REM, all sorts of interesting people singing the praises of Big Star.

Damn, how did I miss that? I love Family Guy.
-
I enjoyed brothers K but my daughter has so far scared me away from the idiot. I may dive in anyways.

That's funny. Some great stuff here and exactly what I'm looking for. That Janelle Monae is something special. Not the type of music I really ever give much of a chance but it's so damn good.

Very cool and congrats. Epiphones are good guitars, especially for the price. Maybe if you right a nice letter to Gibson they will send you a tweedy truss rod cover.
-
You are clearly not one of Gaga's "little monsters". Good stuff so far, is the rest of that Lee Renaldo good? I may have to dig into that one more. And the typhoon.

Maybe the can is lined with sheep stomach. Just serve with Neeps and tatties:

That's not the Tweedy SG?

Got some of this in my cabinet right now, 3 for $26 on Amazon.

This is really a selfish way for me to find some of those gems I missed this year. I don't care if someone wants to post "Get Lucky" but I'm really looking for some of those somewhat overlooked songs that you loved this year. Loved this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nSuTSyymvU

A Thread for Musical Blasphemy you Truly Believe

I would throw Jason Isbell in that crowd. I'm amazed at his ability to consistently write very moving lyrics that tell a story (i.e. Elephant). -
I think I may pull the trigger and get one of these. Can't believe how much better my Taylor sounded going straight through this vs. the cheap fender acoustisonic I am currently using. Plus it's so much easier to cart around:

Give or take a few years I would also say this about Springsteen and the Stones. -
This is my fave part of the season. All done shopping and all that's left is cranking out cheese balls and cookies. No work until Jan 2. Currently cooking and watching the Patrick Stewart Christmas carol. A few more things to wrap. All is good.

Wow, great shots as always.

Sweet, super vision. Never a bad seat in the house. I could roll into red rocks 1 minute before showtime, sit at the very top next to the beer tent. Maybe take some notes on guitar playing by watching Jeff, Pat and Nels fingers closely. I guess I'm really not thinking big enough here.

KISS was my first real rock concert. By real I mean non state fair, open drug use, loud rock and roll concert. I remember Ace Frehleys Les Paul levitating into the air, then the guitar he was playing started flaming and he shot a fireball out of it at the floating Les Paul. Have to admit I really don't listen to them anymore but I liked them and think they belong in the HOF. They were absolutely huge in my and most of my friends elementary/middle school life.

Rolling Stone asks Henry Rollins some questions
Moss replied to tinnitus photography's topic in Someone Else's Song
"That to me is like Rolling stone music". -
I have not heard that but will most definitely check it out, thanks!

Had to google and I still don't get it. Wait, are you calling someone a commie? The nomenklatura (Russian: номенклату́ра, Russian pronunciation: [nəmʲɪnklɐˈturə], Latin: nomenclatura) were a category of people within the Soviet Union and other Eastern Bloc countries who held various key administrative positions in all spheres of those countries' activity: government, industry, agriculture, education, etc., whose positions were granted only with approval by the communist party of each country or region.
