  1. That is damned impressive. I think I managed to fit about 7 pedals in the same amount of space. I do love my Fulldrive 2.
  2. I can't hardly wait! I got 26 days to go before riotfest. Replacements is at the top of the list of bands I wanted to see, never thought it would happen. That set list looks amazing.
  3. This can't really be 20 years old already, can it?
  4. Love the look of that guitar, very unique. I always go for the larger bodied Grand auditorium type guitars and I don't know why because I have heard smaller bodied guitars that sound so good. Would love to hear this one.
  5. Ooh, that does look nice! I will check it out. I can't possibly recommend the 52 re-issue Tele enough. It quickly became my go to guitar in almost all situations. I play 90% of our live shows with it. I played through a bunch of but the 52 just had that sound you expect from a tele. It stays in tune really well, so comfortable to play, I love that guitar.
  6. I never actually looped back on this. We ended up doing "Down with disease" by request and it went over huge. Personally I would have picked Carini or one of the other ones mentioned but we are planning to add a few more so thanks for the ideas.
  7. The guitar is a 2002 with a Fishman Prefix Plus (9-volt battery) if that helps. The sound is not bad by any means, even going direct. And the acoustisonic has some built in Phaser and Chorus stuff I need to play around with a bit more. As with all my guitars, the tone does not yet satisfy and I assume I can make it better.
  8. Just listened to a great show from Red Rocks on GDradio earlier. I was really enjoying it because I could picture the venue. Then got pissed because I realized I was 17 years old at the time, living nearby and could have been there if I wasn't such a dork.
  9. I agree. I was not making any kind of statement. I just wanted an excuse to put that Katy picture up. I tend to prefer bands that just get up and play with no big thought around dress or choreography but I don't think any less of Lady Gaga, or Beyonce or any others where that is an important part of over all image and why they are successful. I do have an aversion to overly contrived image but I can't say I can tell when someone is more contrived than someone else.
  10. Now that is a cool little factoid.
  11. I suddenly find myself playing acoustic guitar quite a bit live which is a new experience for me. I have never really studied up on how to get a good tone. I have a Taylor 414CE that I am plugging into a Fender acoustisonic amp. I am thinking about maybe adding some sort of EQ or preamp type pedal. Anybody have experience with any of these?: L.R. Baggs Para Acoustic DI Radial tonebone PZ-Deluxe Fishman Aura Spectrum DI Or am I going down the wrong road?
  12. Nice screw up on Elephant! I find his wife adorable.
  13. Awesome, I totally forgot about this until I saw your post. Thank you!
  14. Glad you enjoyed it! Sounds very much like my last Steely Dan at Red Rocks show, also a huge rain storm. They had to stop during Hey Nineteen and move the band back under the cover. Had roadies holding on to the backdrop to keep it from blowing around. Rain is not really the norm here in Colorado and it tends to blow over quick. I have seen so many shows at red rocks and only a few instances of rain in the bunch. But heck, probably a memorable show!.
  15. Don't forget to catch Fishbone!

I bought a double Cd for $0.25 and it is missing disc 1. I want my $0.12 back.
  17. I assumed they were a great live band (never seen them), I was actually Just surprised Rolling Stone picked them #4. My favorite shows have all been small club shows which I realize is not really a fair comparison. I tend to avoid the big stadium shows so have never seen Springsteen or the Stones. Best large shows I have seen are McCartney and Roger Waters.
  18. Started watching this because my daughter saw a take off on "Psych" and was interested. Have not seen it since the early 90's and I am enjoying it more than i expected, it actually holds up. Sherilyn Fenn! I remember someone saying that if James Dean had lived he would have been in this show. There certainly is quite a few 50's era actors and actresses in it. Anyways, a trip down memory lane.
  19. What a shocker, Rolling Stone has Springsteen, Neil Young and Rolling Stones in the top 5. Have to admit the Arcade Fire choice surprised me though.

I have a banana on my desk right now sealed up tighter than a mermaids ass, I kidd you not.
  21. Sounds like Bob was having a good time singing Truckin on this one, once he remembered the lyrics.
  22. Wow, impressive slide work from both, I had no idea they could play slide like that. Listening to the show on gdradio now, sounds great.
  23. Currently listening to Little Red Rooster, 4-11-1982. Is that Jerry playing slide guitar or someone else?
  24. Yeah, it was a long time ago so pretty sure it was the original. I did love Talisman and even "It" for the most part (except the end). In general I think King is somewhat weak on his endings. I really like all his short story books as well. And Salem's lot was really good, Misery, Green Mile. I think he is really quite good at coming up with unique characters. Wait, did you say they are making the dark tower into a movie?
