I believe the 10th is Tin/Aluminum not Bronze. Tin: America's greatest hits, or Wizard of Oz on Blue Ray Aluminum: 12 pack of Avery IPA

Anyone on this board ever see Sublime live?
Moss replied to IRememberDBoon's topic in Someone Else's Song
Next to "Sweet Home Alabama", nothing packs a dance floor quicker than when we play "Santeria". Never saw them live, not even really a big fan. -
I can't go a mile in any direction here in Boulder without hitting a good microbrewery. As far as Colorado faves: 1. Avery - IPA - I drink this stuff by the bucketfull, my fave IPA or Ellies Brown Ale 2. Oskar Blues - Dales Pale Ale and Ten Fidy (Imperial Stout) 3. Boulder Beer - Hazed and infused or MOJO or Flashback 4. ODells - Red Ale or Levity 5. Left hand brewing - Milk Stout Non colorado beer I had recently and really loved - Russian river - Pliny the Elder

Am I the last to know that The Replacements are playing shows?
Moss replied to Hixter's topic in Someone Else's Song
Picked up VIP tickets for the Denver show. I can't be milling around with the unwashed masses. -
You are probably right.

I have to admit, I find it a little suspicious that the rolling stone writer that brought down General Stanley McChrystal is dead at 33... http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/michael-hastings-rolling-stone-contributor-dead-at-33-20130618

Big congrats to you!

I see they are playing at Riot fest that I just bought tix for. I am curious to hear what you think. Sounds like Greg Ginn and Ron Reyes are at least in the band which sounds promising. Not sure I would want to see any Black Flag incarnation without Ginn. I do like the sound of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKk6uKfRzOg&feature=player_embedded

Don't really know your situation or what kind of music or whatever but I would happily play this guitar. I have to admit I have never played one. I do like the idea of the single coil sound in the neck and the humbucker in the bridge. Ultimately, the next guitar I get will probably be a custom shop Jazzmaster but I don't see anything wrong with going with one of these.

I have a fever. And the only prescription is more goat.

Just came in the mail. Cool flickering fire effect on the cover (deluxe addition at least).

Congrats and great choice! Long before the Tweedy model came out I used to covet the Elliot Easton model as I really liked the blue and like you said, never a huge fan of the cherry color either. Anyways, even if I was not a fan of Tweedy I would have gone for this for all the reasons you said. Congrats on your purchase and may it bring you many years of enjoyment! Here is the Easton model, very similar:

Have to agree, sounds so good, probably the best lyrics he has ever written too. Great from start to finish.

As someone who was also quite late to the party and had the same question, I can highly recommend Steppin out. That got me hooked very quickly. Although you did say studio so I have to agree with A-Man on the choices. I like the studio stuff but it's the live stuff that grabbed me. http://www.amazon.com/Steppin-Out-With-Grateful-Dead/dp/B001W1RGP8/ref=sr_shvl_album_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1370721549&sr=301-3

Wow, was I drunk or something? I guess it's fixed now.

I thought maybe they were going to call the new lizard "Mr. Mojo Risin".

As long as you are replacing, might I recommend using Bone? My guitar guy says you can polish bone up until it's basically frictionless.
-
Pre-ordered it so I refuse to listen until I can throw on the CD, get the headphones out and really listen.

Download the Sweet Billy Pilgrim album free here, MOJO certainly raves about it: http://www.mojo4music.com/blog/2013/04/sweet_billy_pilgrim_-_free_alb.html

I would completely agree with spending the money and having a good guitar tech look at it. I just brought in my Tweedy SG because I was unhappy with the intonation and the difficulty in keeping it tuned. He mentioned that they have like 10 minutes to set up a guitar at the Gibson factory. Obviously they are not getting out the magnifying glass and really getting the nut right. My guess is that your problem could be at the nut even though it sounds like you have looked at that. He mentioned that he filed down my nut quite a bit and was able to lower the bridge as well because of it. Ever

Great choices, thanks! Any one of these should work great. I will listen through them all a bunch and see which one jumps out. Thanks for the help!

So our band has been tasked with playing "a phish song" for a private party coming up. I have to admit I really don't know my Phish. What would be a good song that most Phish fans would like to hear? Preferably something heavier on guitar and bass and not a ton of keyboards since we lack a keyboard player.
