I would love to see the Thunder do well this year. Durant just seems to be a class act. Denver has their own share of young immature players (like JR Smith). Westbrook is already scary good and will only get better. The playoffs are a good learning ground and they look like they are going to be in a few in the coming years.

I don't really have any illusions that Denver is going to tie this series up, I'll settle for not getting swepped at this point. Considering the upheaval all season I still consider the season pretty succesful. I have to say, I will not mind an OKC/Memphis match up at all. That would be a great series. A tough physical series is where I see Westbrook potentially struggling. The guy is a major talent but seems to let ego and emotion take over his game. When he was running down court last night in the final minutes, I absolutely knew he was going to take the shot and I was extremely happy

Yay, Nuggets did not get swepped. I have been hearing people say how good Oklahoma looks but I'm not seeing it. Nuggets have been playing terrible and all the games have still been pretty close. Westbrook makes really dumb decisions and tries to be the hero and ends up losing the game. One pass to Durant and the Nuggets are out of it. More importantly, go Memphis and New Orleans! Good to see those teams stepping up.

Great live concert streaming on NPR right now: PJ Harvey live at the Warfield

I'm fairly new to SFA but loving them. In fact I got a great mixtape of SFA stuff from someone on this very board that was a great intro to the band.

I liked the part where she was talking about turning down Bob Dylan's marriage proposal. Like many people, my first exposure to them was in The Last Waltz. That version of The Weight still blows me away every time.

I wanted one of these.

It's refreshing to hear someone say Hazards of Love is their fave album by them. Seems like I hear more negatives about that album than positives from a lot of fans. I just listened to it the other day and realized once again how much I love it. Off the subject a bit but is Justin still touring as a 2 piece? I have yet to hear someone come away from a Justin Townes Earle show disappointed.

Alright, I manged to dig it up. I assume the part you are interested in is the following: I don't see any specifics about songs or anything but hope that helps.

I like the sound of "obnoxious". Although I kind of found the new Radiohead obnoxious.

Really? I like it more than the recent albums but still like the first 4 albums better. But it's early yet and I need to keep listening.

Wow, that is too funny. I almost responded the exact same way until I read that. I am pretty sure I have that issue but now I will make a note to myself to actually look for it. My intentions are always good, just need help with the execution part.

There are certainly some very strong female characters in the books so that should change. Have not seen the episode yet but should be getting a copy to watch this weekend.

Looks like The National will be putting out a Grateful Dead tribute album, I could see them pulling that off pretty well: National do Dead

Just read a big article in MOJO about these guys so I am on a listening kick. I guess I never realized the extent of Joey's OCD. He once got all the way home from a tour, only to take a taxi back to the airport because he had to "touch it".

Most Beautiful Songs that Break Your Heart
Moss replied to sgtpepper64's topic in Someone Else's Song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RbL2UFjsoA I always thought this song was heartbreaking. It's about that kid at school who never seems to have a lunch, clothes are dirty, etc... -

Apparently the store I went to had quite a few of the big star records. I got there about 30 minutes after the store opened and they were already gone. I had a few things in my hand but the crowds, long lines, the lack of the Big star, and a lower back issue made me just put everything back and leave. Worst RSD ever for me. I went back later after it calmed down and picked up the Jason Isbell "Here we rest" vinyl (with the 7" GBV song included) and the new Foo Fighters on CD. I actually hit 4 stores but the first one was really the only one that had the good RSD stuff (which is why it was

I remember Young and the Restless being pretty big in our college dorm. I'm guessing that maybe the lifetime network movies or something like that is stealing the viewers. Edit: Oops, it was Days of our lives that was big. I just remember a guy with an eyepatch, or is that in all of them?
