Last year I kind of took my time and showed up well after they opened and I was able to find everything i wanted. This year I think I will get there right at store opening if I can. There are about 4 decent record stores in Denver to hit and a few of them have live music so I'm waiting to see that schedule as well.

Streaming on NPR, I'm liking the sound of this one after 1 listen.

Jason just posted this on Facebook a little while ago: Sometimes the best song on Earth, to me, is "Misunderstood". -
Wow, thanks LouieB, I think you have just killed most of my weekend, but in a good way.

I knew if I waited long enough someone would post the right order and I could just say "Ditto".

And yet you think the new Radiohead is a near-masterpiece. Our heads are in 2 different places.

I have pretty much liked everything Bun E. Carlos has been a part of including Tinted windows. Can't wait to hear this. If nothing else, that's a killer rhythm section right there.

Barkley seemed to think this was a great move and now puts them as one of the top 4 teams in the west. Sounded like he thought Perkins just brings a toughness they were lacking. I guess we will see. I wonder how New Jersey thinks they are going to hold on to Deron Williams when you know the Knicks are going to all out press for him?

Those people at least had consequences for their actions.

Yeah, this stuff just confuses the hell out of me. Maybe now that Deron Williams is gone they can lure Jerry Sloan back to the team.

Problem with this album, too many notes!

Sounds like you are happy with the trade and that's great. It's a win/win in that case. Melo will certainly make the Knicks better, at least on offense. He has actually started rebounding and playing a little more defense so who knows. I guess my perspective as a Nuggets fan is that we gave up Balkman (was getting 0 minutes in Denver), Carter (11 years in the league, decent but not great), Sheldon Williams who I did like but who is never going to be great, Billups (13 years in the league), and Melo. We got Galinari (6'10, young, all upside), Koufas (7'0) and Mozgov (7'0). How is that no

Just read the Patton Oswalt book and he talks about how this album changed his life. Reminded me it's been awhile since I listened. Such a great album.

I heard the Knicks fans are now saying "you mean Deron Williams was available?, Damn!" Knicks were foolish. They gave up way too much for somebody that would have went there anyways. I loved Melo but he is a very one dimensional player. Now the Nuggets are Bigger, younger, and deeper. Game on!

That counts. I was never good at that.

Yes, but did you take that off of any sweet jumps?

Yep, this album is at the top of my list right now along with Go Go Boots by Drive by truckers. I streamed it a couple times on NPR and just kept going back for more. The album is just so unique and compelling lyrically. I love PJ's voice, it just fits so well with the music and subject matter. I love albums like this that sound like a complete work of art and not just a collection of songs. It's not just that there is a theme that runs through it, but sonically the songs just fit so well together. I have to imagine this will be near the top of quite a few best of lists at the end of th

I couldn''t possibly have been more surprised by that outcome. The Nuggets announcer said Mayo and Allen got in a fight on the plane or something, (report is that Allen pretty much worked Mayo over). Maybe that was an issue.
