Well the Denver/Memphis re-match is likely to be a joke tonight.

I think the previous one was a sparkly Purple. Sounds like this one will be purple but not sparkly?

So far it's either go go boots or Let England Shake by PJ Harvey that I have enjoyed the most this year and keep going back to for more.

Streaming on NPR so thought I would give it a shot.

No sir, I don't like it. It seems to be somewhat devoid of melody and completely devoid of guitars, 2 things I think In Rainbows (which I loved) had in spades. Whatever trip-hop-afrobeat-hypno-dance thing they are going for just doesn't appeal to my ear. But kudos to their willingness to keep changing and following their muse and I look forward to the next one.

Evil Knievel was responsible for injuring many a kid. We would have been a whole lot better off if we didn't feel like we needed to have a landing ramp.

That's the one I had, I stole it from somebody. Just kidding. That does look like the first bike I had though. Huffy was the thing to have back then. I would have loved that Knievel bike though!

Had to delete my earlier post, misread the damn title. SRV (about 10 times) Joe Strummer Supergrass Guided by voices Iggy Pop with Ron Ashton Grateful Dead (just once in golden gate park) Tad Albert King Saw a lot of bands on reunion tours but I guess I won't count those (Pixies, Pavement, Gang of Four...)

Judging by these early reviews, it's between REM and Wilco for the better album!

I thought this graph was interesting.

Now I'm starting to question whether Colonel Blake actually died.

Bands you wish that you had seen, but missed the chance

Passed up seeing Nirvana at the cow palace in San Francisco, always regretted that. Skipped the Pink Floyd show in Colorado and really wished I had not. One of my bigger regrets is missing all those Grateful Dead shows at Red Rocks every year. That hurts to think about. -
I usually just use a somewhat medium guage. The light stuff just feels so brittle and I seemed to break them so much quicker, at least on the electric. Everybody talks about SRV using 0.13's but he switched to lighter guauges later on (as low as 0.10's I think) as his fingers would just get worked on long tours. He still seemed to be able to get that big fat tone without them. I find that 10's or 11's give me the tone I want without too much fight and less breakage. Acoustic I just try to keep the same gauge so the tension on the neck is about the same. I don't play too much acoustic so h

They still have a Twist and Shout records and a Tattered cover bookstore in Denver right next to each other. They seem to always be crowded when I'm there. I can spend full days there, I sure hope they can survive. At Twist and shout the CD's are more expensive than amazon by quite a bit, probably the $12 - $15 range for the most part. Who knows maybe they can survive on the vinyl, they have a pretty big selection.

Would love a new Soundgarden album. Personally I'm hoping it's more Hand's all over and less Spoonman There does seem to be a lack of good rawk albums lately.

No record stores, no book stores, get rid of guitar stores and shopping will be a very, very small part of my life.

Must be nice to root for a team that hustles, plays hard, and doesn't give up.

Might as well throw in Do you love me by Kiss.

He is a monster on defense, he certainly worked the Nuggets over the other night. Please just trade Carmelo already!

Thanks, that's where was leaning.
