MOJO gave it 4 stars and called it a contender for album of the year. I can't wait to hear the whole thing.

I'm losing you, Beautiful boy, watching the wheels, Woman, Starting over...rank up there with his best solo work in my opinion, I'm surprised by the criticism.

Bon Temps Rouler: You see me there well I ain't no fool I'm one smart Frenchman never been to school If you wanna have some fun in a Creole town Stop and let me show you your way around You let the bon temps rouler You let the muley boolay Now don't you be no foolay You let the bon ton rouler. I've got a Creole girl well she's one fine dish But she's got ways like a mean crawfish She don't do nothing but raise sand all night But when it comes to loving she's a much all right. She let the bon temps rouler She let the muley boolay Now don't you be no foolay You let the bon temps rouler.

I totally remember this show and used to look forward to it every week (in Colorado). For the life of me though my brain remembers Jools Holland having something to do with it. Maybe I'm mixing the two shows in my pea brain but to me they feel like the same show. This is one that sticks out in my mind for some reason: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17aTVDLchoI

I hate hands free sinks and towel dispensers that make you wave your hands around for an hour before giving up the goods.

But it's signed and limited to 2500. May hold it's value pretty well. But yes, too expensive for me to even contemplate.

Probably my least favorite Cracker album but it has it's moments.
-
But the first 2 songs? Straight money!

Nice picture. "God Rays"

I like it quite a bit so far but I thought the same exact thing, very much like Wolfmother.

I thought maybe he was acting as their own Derek Taylor or something.

New Beach house song on Pitchfork. Unfortunately I don't use Itunes so can't check out the new EP they put out (exclusive to Itunes). This sounds good though. Beach House White Moon NP: Loving this album (Black Mountain - Wilderness Heart)

I agree and that was a surprising omission for me. That video stands out in my mind as pretty unique and fit the song well. Man, that Aphex Twin video is the stuff of nightmares.

Is Richard Cole involved with the band in any way? By all accounts that guy was a complete A-Hole. I seem to remember the band cuting him loose at some point.

You should re-marry that woman. -
I figured that was because Peter Grant died.

Never been a fan but I like that he recorded the new album at Sun records, at the motel room Robert Johnson recorded in, and in the country's oldest black church. Talk about some serious mood setters. -

When I was a wee lad my mom made me go see "You light up my life" in the theatre. Yes, a movie made to capitalize on the hit song. Nothing has ever topped that for me as far as sitting in a theatre just going nuts and wanting to leave. -
Pitchfork has the top 50 videos of the 90's listed. Pretty good choices over all. And Wilco makes #44 with Outtmind Outtasite. I forgot about that "praise you" video by spike Jonze with the dance troupe. Made me laugh all over again. Top 90' videos

According to Rolling Stone it will feature Jason sharing stories about touring with Zep as a kid and playing the tunes with a yet to be announced group of musicians. It will be called "Jason Bonhams Led Zeppelin Experience".

Cool thanks. They are opening the Pavement show I am seeing September 9th so I think I will check this out.
