I don't know, the whole "granny" thing and "Signed personally by the fab 4 in 1974 i think maybe later" makes me a little suspect.

I prefer Texas Flood also. I heard they were trying to put this out as a 25th anniversary type thing last year but didn't make it. Plus I think this was a bigger seller, kind of the bands breakthrough album, first one to go platinum, etc... I actually have these on vinyl already so probably won't commit, even for the extra tracks.

Jan and Dean?

I have heard enough hype at this point, I guess I better check out this Best Coast business.

You know, why not just tune that B string to E? I realize it's the 5th of E and would probably break if you did that but it screws up my Mojo.

I was just randomly surfing and stumbled on this. I don't know why but it struck me as funny. It's a band called Phoenix Rising from Arizona. From what I can tell it's not a joke. left to right: Roxii Camaro Izzy White Nikki Steel T.Z. Sÿnn Johnny Wylde (replaced by Miki) Phoenix rising site

I'm thinking G.G. Allin would have finished the show.

I don't really disagree with anything here. I don't know much about their back story but doubt it would change my opinion about the music. I like the first 2 albums quite a bit, have not really listened much to the others. They do seem to be turning into major tools the more succesful they get. I know when I saw them in concert at Red Rocks, it was the first time I have ever been to a show there where we were not allowed to take water and blankets in (which I was told came directly from the band or at least their management). Still not sure why that was the case. I know they could bar

Man that sucks and is so frustrating. Almost makes you miss the days when people had to show up and stand in line for tickets (almost).

Cool link, I had never seen any of those pictures, thanks for that. I would never in a million years go knock on some famous persons door.

I never understand all the KOL hate (and Foo fighters I might add). I firmly believe this has to be based on only hearing the stuff they play on the radio. Granted that's what you have to go by sometimes to know if you like a band. As with many bands though, the best stuff is not on the radio. Imagine basing your decision on REM based on "The one I love" and the few other songs they play. I could see not liking KOL because of the vocals (which I love) but there is some great songwriting on those albums. I know I'm probably wrong and many people here have based the decision to hate on a

Listened to this one myself yesterday. What a strange album it is. Looking forward to hearing the new Arcade Fire when I get home!

Coming out next week on 180g vinyl ($23.74 from amazon).

I'm not talented enough for solo work, I need a band, preferably a loud one to help cover for me.

Just saw the video of Jack White doing Mother Natures son at the White house (It's on Pitchfork right now). That takes some stones playing that song with McCartney and Obama sitting a few feet away. I thought he did a great job, brought his Jack Whiteness to it.

Oh I forgot about this one! I love Sheffields writing, have to pick this up.

No way I would be out there without a cup. Damn.

I agree as well but the similar example would be more like: The runners flat comes untied, everyone else in the race jogs in place to let them tie it, and you take off like a bat out of hell to win the race. Not sure it would feel all that great to win in that situation.

Agreed, not something I will be bidding on but I figured a few Pollard-heads might be interested.

That seems to be everyone's experience with this one (at least everyone that grows to love it, some people never do). I remember hearing it was such a classic, Trey Anastasio raved about it for example, so I gave it a listen in my car and didn't understand at all. I got out the headphones and really gave it a listen and really started to hear the melodies and feel come through. Now it just gets better and better every time I pull it out. NP: Just got the guitar tab book for this on Amazon!
