It is an interesting choice LeBron made. Basically he is saying he would rather play second fiddle and win a ring than be the top dog and struggle. It will gain him a ring or two but the discussions about him being the greatest player and comparing him to MJ have to pretty much stop. You can't claim you are the greatest player ever when you are surrounded by that kind of talent. It's now an expectation that they get a ring and it won't be considered as impressive as if he could have done it in Cleveland. My fear is that now Chris Paul, Carmello, etc... will feel they have to do the same

Geez, I guess anything is possible. Last I heard there was still a ton of animosity and they barely spoke at the Live 8 concert. I still don't see them getting together to record anything.

I'm not sure all publicity is good publicity in the NBA. LeBron is so popular and marketable at least in part because he is so likeable. Unlike Kobe fans who all tend to be Laker fans, LeBron had fans across the spectrum. I think this hurts him a bit. Sure, he will sell tons of jerseys and shoes in Miami but I think people across the country will be a little less likely to buy. But this won't hurt him in the long run, people have short memories.

I agree, the Heat are now the team to beat in the East and maybe the league. There is going to be speculation about ego and whether they can play together but the same things were said about the Celtics and they delivered. Bottom Line: How does any team defend Lebron, Bosh, and Wade with only 5 guys?

That was an odd move to put a guy in to pitch in his very first Major league game with the score tied in the ninth. Talk about a trial by fire. Paid off nicely for the Rockies. Hope they can keep this hitting up.
