  1. Oh man, I was so wishing that little google-streetview-man would be replaced with a camel when I clicked on that link.
  2. I like the taste of veggie burgers, but I'm usually too self-conscious to order what I really want, a veggie burger with bacon.
  3. You and Kathy would be perfect burger buddies.
  4. OK, yeah, I'm finally getting the angles straight in my head, thanks! So the camel is on the sidewalk, and the gate is around the parking area in front of the restaurant? I was originally seeing it as the camel being inside a gated area, with the car in between parked on the street, and the restaurant right up against the far side of the street. File this post under "you're lame, and the rest of us didn't need to read this to know just how lame".
  5. The old store was through Music Today, wasn't it? If they've gone to a different vendor for tickets, makes sense that the merch store would be switched over, too.
  6. I don't know. Looks like just concrete to me. Can someone who's in Milwaukee run over and check, please?
  7. OMG, it's not a deck, you highy messed up freak!!!
  8. Actually, I think the blogger may have been quoting from somewhere else, but I didn't really read it all that carefully, because seriously: who cares? I will say though, it does seem to point to, he just likes dijon! So I still don't see where "calculated" enters into it. And for the record: very well done (yes, shoot me now), no mustard/ketchup/mayo/onions/pickles/jalapenos/whatever. I like a monterey jack/bacon/avocado combo, or else cheddar/bacon/BBQ sauce.
  9. This is my favorite part: "In the summer of 1997, as he was finishing his first term in the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama and a young legislative aide made an exploratory tour of downstate districts. When they stopped at a T.G.I. Friday
  10. Like it! You must like it, damn it! OK, this one took me a minute. But yeah, now I see it. I was also looking at it like that was on a rooftop-patio kind of space.
  11. Jen, someone mentioned the name of the restaurant in the background, and you can see (just past the camel's front hump [NAPE]) that the font matches the restaurant's name: (Is that picture showing up?) So yeah, I think that's kind of cool.
  12. Something about Biden ordering jalapenos cracks me up. In a good way.
  13. Seriously? I remember WMS, but I don't think I ever knew his real name.
  14. I haven't even had my coffee yet! Yeah, I need to be caffeinated before I pull out the whips and chains. Ha!
  15. Once upon a time, a moderator was drunk with power...
  16. Oh, and don't think I won't delete bullshit posts. Because I will.
  17. OK, so here's the story: we're going to get a lot of new posters in the next few weeks, here to talk about the new album, the lawsuit, whatever. New people: please try not to antagonize folks right off the bat. We're a generally friendly group (with a few exeptions ), so please try to make your first few posts at least somewhat constructive and sincere. Old-timers: please try not to jump right into a pissing contest with the new guy. Do your best to be welcoming, and if possible, steer the conversation in a constructive and reasonable direction. I'm not saying that people can't di
  18. You took the time to register just to post something that negative? There are plenty of cool people around here, take some time to hang out and make some friends.
  19. It occurred to me as I sat white-knuckled and sweating in the dentist's office today, how ridiculous it is that I'm not the least bit concerned by any of the death drops in this thread, but I panic about getting my teeth cleaned.
  20. For the past few years (ever since the first time I did it, at midnight on a beautiful hot night in July), I make a point of walking across it every time I'm in New York.
  21. I'd say I'm a "mature listener", and although UT was on my radar, and I owned Summerteeth and MA, I didn't go nuts for Wilco until YHF came out (I was 35 at the time). And I'd never heard of Pitchfork until I started frequenting this place.
  22. When we (and our cousins) were kids, the moms wouldn't let us go on the rides at those temporary fairs that set up in mall parking lots, etc., because they felt that those things were put up in too much of a hurry, and the screws probably weren't fully tightened. Also, all long hair had to be braided and tied up for any kind of ride, temporary or permanent.
