Pomona is the "kidsmoke, we're coming to you!" show. I'm considering that one. The date works for me, plus, it'll give me a chance to visit Chino and work through my Ryan Atwood fantasies.

It's probably stored in your browser's history. Log out, close out your browser, then log back in. FYI, I'm seeing a man sitting at a table (I think that's what I'm seeing; my monitor is crappy and any graphic that's even a little bit dark almost completely blacks out on me).

This is the crux of it, for me. It's going to happen. All the opposition is doing is slowing down the process, but it will happen. Has everyone seen Milk? It was staggering to me how Harvey Milk's strategy for beating the Briggs Initiative (a California state proposition which would have banned anyone

Haven't seen it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Love this show.
-
I'm hoping for that too, Judy. Pre-sale for Berkeley and Tahoe tomorrow!

Stateline at Tahoe is pretty cheesy, too, but you can't beat the natural setting. It'll be beautiful up there that time of year.

If you follow the links in this thread, you'll get more information than you probably ever wanted: http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=38597 Nutshell: these are charity shows, auctioned off to raise money for a charity administered through Second City. The auction takes place at SC's fundraiser in December, with shows in the early-ish part of the new year. I'll come back later with my thoughts on this weekend's show. For now, I'm still recovering!

It's taking me forever to get through this, which is probably appropriate. I'm iffy on the math, so I'm having to digest it in pretty small bites. Next up, thanks to Beltmann's recommendation (I'm looking forward to something a bit juicy): And in between other stuff, I'm reading the Pendragon series, so that I can have geeky discussions about them with my niece. I'm up to book 5:

Ha! OK, no, that would be worse. Ticketmaster info on that site in Tahoe seems to say that it can be configured with or without seats on the floor, and then there are bleachers around the edges. I'm assuming GA for the Wilcos...

I missed it again?!? Happy day, Eyeball! (That's for next year, so hang onto it.)

We can request books on-line from our public library, and they'll pull them and hold them for a week. Or if it's not immediately available, you can be put on the waiting list, and get an e-mail when it comes back and is put on hold for you. I love that, I've always got something waiting for me at the library.

Might as well discuss them all here. JUN-27 BERKELEY, CA GREEK THEATER JUN-28 STATELINE, NV LAKE TAHOE OUTDOOR ARENA JUN-30 JACKSONVILLE, OR BRITT PAVILION These are probably the worst possible dates in June for me.
-
Dude, you need to up that goal.

Sounds good! I'm a fan of that kind of thing, too. I was thinking "wow, the blurb on the cover of that is pretty impressive", until I got to "Dan Brown, author of The DaVinci Code". I've been meaning to read that one, too. All of my facebook friends, prepare for more spam! (I've really got to figure out how to turn that off... )

Is anyone working on a "We are the Mods" design? (limited edition, of course ) Because that would be awesome!
-
I guess this isn't a particularly new phenomenon, but it strikes me as interesting that they're doing two of these in one year. Berkeley Rep, a fairly well-respected theater, is planning productions based on Green Day's American Idiot and Matthew Sweet's Girlfriend as part of their upcoming season:

Welcome to VC! Keep an eye on this thread, when the show is available, it'll definitely get posted about in here. Also check out the trading/bit torrent sub-forum, here: http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showforum=30 If you're an old-school trader, someone there will hook you up. If you already download bittorrents, a link to any available torrent will turn up there eventually. And if you need help with how to do any of that, there are plenty of helpful links in that section, as well as helpful people who'll walk you through it if necessary. In general, we ask that people wait

http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?s=&...t&p=1286605 I can't guarantee that I got everything right, but if you're willing to wade through my long-windedness, that should give you a pretty close listing. Also, if you haven't seen it yet, check out Wilcobase: http://wilcobase.com/ It'll give you all kinds of fantastic stats, like that there were 54 songs played over those two nights at Tipitina's: http://wilcobase.com/songs_played.php Welcome to VC!

This concerns me.
