I'd be pretty damned happy with that, if I were you. We almost never go to the park. It's a disgrace, really. I love that it's there, but we don't take nearly enough advantage of it.

We have a biggish yard (for the city) that was mostly lawn, and required mowing and watering beyond what was sensible, way out of proportion to the amount of time we spend romping out there. The kids like it for soccer and playing catch when they come over, but considering that we live two blocks from Golden Gate Park, it's crazy to keep it in shape for their occasional visits when we could just walk down the street and hang out on the city's lawn. So, we're letting the grass go, and I'm reading up on vegetable gardening (organic, hopefully) in our neck of the woods. We're probably just go

What's the price of gas where you are?

Once you have them downloaded, you can convert them using a program called xAct: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/21952 It's the downloading without right-click that stumps me. Yay!
-
Dude, macs don't do "right click". Or so I've been told.
-
Yeah, right there is where you lost me. I'm guessing that somewhere in that pinned thread somebody discusses the ins and outs of downloading these with a mac, and if not, someone is sure to jump in here. Good luck!

We're all big fans of the Owl & Bear around here! Check out the pinned thread in the top of this section, called Various Wilco Demos, Downloads, etc.: http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?sho...t=0&start=0 The Owl himself started that thread, and he includes right in the first post the link to some instructions on working with these files: http://www.owlandbear.com/flacshndvd-faq/ Where exactly are you having trouble? With the downloading, the converting, the burning? Lots of folks around here would be glad to help, but the more specific you can be, the better help we'll

I'm also a fan. Have fun, Dave!

Note the dateline on this: March 9, 2005.

I was reading that entire line as being tagged IMHO.

Isn't that exactly the point she was making, with the IYHO/IMHO thing?

But he's still legendary, damn it!

Plus, they make the best Hot Vanilla.

Well, this is what started us all off: but we've talked in this thread (and others like it) before about books about the 1918 flu pandemic (there are tons of those), and also:

Who isn't, I'd like to know?

Kate, let's not get greedy!

I'm kind of a nut about the flu. So this one goes on my list! Thanks!

Trish saw that one at a documentary film festival we went to a couple of months ago, and she loved it. I chose to see this instead. I can't recommend Trouble the Water highly enough, if it ever gets wide distribution and comes to your town, definitely don't miss it.

If you can squeeze that into the character limits of those little boxes, go for it.

Well, now you've gotten me all worked up, and I need to track down my copy of Dubliners.
-
No, "The Dead" is the last story in Dubliners. So sound like you're good on that one. I give you credit for finishing Finnegans Wake. Ulysses is much more readable, isn't it?
