agreed that ticket prices for Neil were super steep, but at least he played pretty small venues (~2500 ppl capacity or less). if bruce, petty, (insert 70s FM Radio Superstar here) played a similar-sized venue, i can't imagine that the tickets would be priced much differently. if he sold 'em for $50, scalpers would eat that shit up and sell 'em for the price Neil set to start...

after seeing the Stooges the first time, i'd bet that 90% of the audience was getting it on later that night. some potent stuff there.

no research needed...i'm well aware of the trader community's slavish devotion to SHN/FLAC files. my point is that this rigid covenant to adhere to lossless formats can be a waste of bandwidth when some source files are of such dodgy quality that it makes no difference, and no pair of 'golden ears' could possibly tell a difference given a controlled ABX test. i've definitely downloaded shows off Dime that fit into this category. yeah, one could likely measure a difference, but hearing it? doubtful. btw, Billy Childish is definitely someone worth seeking out. anyway, before you b
