for a fair number of the shows, you can only shoot the first 3 songs anyway, so it doesn't really take away from it. for shows where you don't have song restrictions, i try to get the safe shots early, then watch for unusual/exciting moments later. depending on the band, i might not take many other shots for the rest of the night, just grab a beer and watch the show. the other side of the coin is watching the show from songs 4 and onward and thinking about that great shot that went untaken.

How much is too much for Neil Young tickets?
tinnitus photography replied to AJ673's topic in Someone Else's Song
that doesn't seem to be the case for Neil's tour. the theaters are small enough (~2500 or so ppl) that the demand is there. any people selling tickets outside the venue (which was sold out in advance) got face value to the show i saw. -
well i will definitely check it out, since Weller's been known to write a great song or ten.

well, we agree to disagree. i just got back from seeing Hitchcock play, and he was outstanding. he continues to put out compelling records too. that 22 Dreams release was a stillborn turd. oh, just thought of another obvious one...Mark E Smith.

excellent game, though i was worried that after 3, the score was tied despite Ray Allen and Rondo's ridiculous efforts.

When do most of an album's sales occur
tinnitus photography replied to rghammo's topic in Someone Else's Song
found this tidbit of interest in one of Bob Lefsetz's emails, around sales of records:
