So I suppose that we've heard 5/11 of the tracks already, right? Before Us (SSF installation), White Wooden Cross (SSF and Jeff's been playing it solo), An Empty Corner (SSF), Everyone Hides (St. Vincent movie soundtrack), and today's premiere of Love is Everywhere. No surprise here, but I am really enjoying Love is Everywhere.

I really love the bonus track that was included in the Warm/Warmer combo. I've said it before, but I think Jeff's writing some of his best songs right now. If the three new Wilco tracks are any indication, LP11 is gonna be something special.

I almost always leave the festival Sunday morning, but we we decided to stick around this year. I’m so glad we did so, as we caught Buck Meek’s set, which was great (he’s got a little band in tow), and then Jonathan Richman’s set prior to Tweedy. I have to admit that I didn’t know any of JR’s music but found myself grinning ear-to-ear during his set. What a performer! Moments like those are what make SSF such a special event. And the people, of course. So good seeing so many familiar faces.

I'm pretty torn on this. Part of me would rather just spend the $$ traveling around the US to catch a few shows on the next Wilco tour. On the other hand, it's a getaway in the middle of winter to see my favorite band... I am curious about the type of attendees these destination shows attract. There's a reason I never went on a traditional spring break trip in college.

I got an ad on FB about that show. Never seen a show at Agganis, but am generally not a fan of those arena shows. Going to see them up in Portland, ME this summer instead!

Tickets are transferrable. You get a paper ticket which, upon arriving at the festival, they swap for a bracelet. That's for a 3-day pass, I'm not sure if they handle single-day tickets differently.
