I hope I got the show numbers and list right. Someone should check it. -

Information on the DVD/CD/Blue Ray: Sunshine Daydream I was wrong - they are doing a limited release.
-
They also allow their shows to be put up at Archive.org.

You can watch Crime Story on Hulu for free. I use to watch it back in the day. Dennis was actually a cop in real life - before he became an actor. Todd Rundgren and Al Kooper both worked as musical directors on the show.

Some more background on the film: by way of the Boston Globe

Notice the TWEEDY license plate - I have to disagree with Mr. Linc again - I think Warren is great. -

Now I have to wonder if that is the first time they played with Warren. -

I think Rush still does. I believe Iron Maiden has their roadies do the soundcheck. In Tom Wright's book, he talks about The Eagles, and says whoever showed up first at soundcheck got to pick the songs they would play. I wonder if Dylan has ever done such a thing. I recall seeing a photo somewhere a few years ago that showed him and the band playing cards on the bus. I think it is sort of funny how he makes everyone dress up. That goes back to Bill Monroe, I would think.

I am often intrigued by bands/artists who have been around a long time and do a soundcheck. I've read that Paul McCartney does, and here we learn that Bob does not. I didn't figure he did. The way that guy describes him is about what we seem to hear/read. I suppose the thing to remember is that he wasn't always that way. And he did reach out and talk to them at the end.

I don't like The Flaming Lips, so I don't know about that comparison. But - My Morning Jacket are great. I'd say they are nothing like Phish. I'd have to say that I lean toward the first three albums. The last two I did not buy. I stopped at "Z".

You should make a sign with glue and glitter spelling out SANTA FE with some smiley faces and red hearts on the sides. And then - run toward the stage with it, and yell SANTA FE! SANTA FE! SANTA FE!
