When I was looking the song up on Youtube, I found some terrible cover versions.

I'll tell you a Dylan song I really like - Santa Fe. It's a nothing song, but the groove is great.

It's shame he doesn't do some of those songs - instead of some of the songs he plays hundreds of times.

Day of The Locust and Went To See The Gypsy I rather like those two songs.

That's about what I was thinking. It would be interesting to hear the story of how they finally worked out the rights and details after all these years.

I usually watch most things on Youtube (old TV films, old TV shows, etc.) I thought it would be more than 35 bucks. I figured they would come out with some sort of 100 dollar boxset for the film's release.

I've never actually seen a Blu-ray film. I still have the 50 dollar dvd player I bought ten years ago. I don't think I have any Grateful Dead stuff on DVD - except for some DVD-R stuff.

I am surprised there has not been a big announcement from Dead.net.

Yes - and maybe a series. It was suppose to be Ron Howard directing - but now I don't know. Anthony - the uncut version came out after the original release. He was made to cut it down in size the first time around. I didn't know that (pre-internet days) until I saw the second version in a supermarket back in the early 1990s. I think he also changed some dates, and culture references in the versions that came out after the initial release.

Which version did you guys read? The 1000 + page version, or the original version? The other King books I like are The Talisman and Black House. I never really got into him except for The Dark Tower, The Stand, and the other two books above. And maybe Hearts in Atlantis.

We'll have to see how the movie/series goes - if it ever comes out.

I'd say that would have to be The Dark Tower series.
