  1. It looks like he is pretty much staying with the so-called country-rock vibe. If that is the case, then that makes me interested to hear the shows, and the album.
  2. I think that is just the new norm for artists at that level. I paid 250 bucks to see Rush last summer. It if was the summer of 1977, it would have cost, what 20 bucks or something. I figure that is just the way it is. Plus, the cost of everything is going up, all the time. I don't see how bands like Wilco can afford to charge 40 bucks or whatever it is they charge. I would think they will have to raise their ticket prices at some point. Plus, if you read the Shakey book, they you learn that Neil does not sit around on piles of money, he spends it. And I doubt he sells enough new records to
  3. I think it works good that way. I don't know much about posting photos here.
  4. If you click on the image after it is posted, it will blow up real good.
  5. Neil was taping an episode of the same show Jeff did the other day (The Strombo Show).
  6. Those later albums are ok, but I prefer the early stuff. I think much like the GD, the live stuff beats the studio stuff.
  7. Furthur and Mountain Guitarists Join The Brothers Leslie West sat in last night, among others. That dude is a hell of a guitar player.
  8. This whole deal must translate to some business for however many vinyl pressing plants there are left in this country. I can only hope they are not being pressed overseas somewhere.
  9. The sebi2704 source is listed as being the full show (AUD source). I doubt the radio station would tape or stream the whole show.
  10. John Keene (Speedy) wrote that song - he was Pete's driver. He also wrote Something in the Air.
  11. Check out this thread from the Greatest Lost Track of All Time>In a Future Age section of the board: Wilco 09/24/2010 Circus Krone, Munich, Germany
  12. It was. I have it. I bought it brand new for 6 or 7 bucks. That was the last new record I ever bought.
  13. Do you have Wilco: Learning How to Die - by Greg Kot? It may be in there. I actually looked to see if it was a line from one of the articles found on the website: Wilco - The Gumbo Pages. But, I did not see it there. You'll figure it out.
  14. I posted that in the Pearl Jam thread earlier today. It didn't move up to the top for some reason. I think because I was the last poster in the thread or something like that.
  15. Looks like Bob is spending some bucks on this project: Bob Weir’s Tamalpais Research Institute
  16. I decided a couple of weeks ago that I am going to try and watch every episode of Doctor Who that is still available by way of dvd, vhs, streaming, etc. I began with The Runaway Bride and now I am at Partners in Crime. I plan to start at the beginning after getting caught up to the most recent episodes.
  17. She is on some of those later albums - Enlightened Rogues and Reach for the Sky. She also toured with the band. I've never heard those albums. I've just heard whatever songs from those albums that are on the boxset. I have all the albums up through, and including Win, Lose or Draw. And then, Seven Turns up through the last one.
  18. They probably learned that song by way of the Delaney and Bonnie version. Bonnie was actually in the Allman Brothers Band for a time.
  19. Chris Robinson Tour Dates For those of you who may live in Maryland, Chris just added a show there.
  20. I think it is mainly due to his drinking problem. It's funny - when he left, or was fired, he talked a lot about having a big problem with Butch. I guess they did invite him to the anniversary shows, but he did not show up. I may check it out - but Hendrix just seems like an odd fit for them. They should have done Red House or something instead. I think Dickey wrote that song, so it is odd that they would do it.
  21. If that is the same stuff that we got on the last two releases, then he should junk it. But, that is my view.
  22. I've been scratching my head over some of those cover songs they are doing. I mean, I know they have always done old blues songs - but Manic Depression? Seems odd to me. I sure as hell hope they don't start putting out albums of cover songs. There was an interview on Jambands the other day with Butch. I did not bother to post it, as he seemed to spend a lot of time jabbing at Dickey - nothing new there.
  23. I've never been that fond of Disney Girls, but there is a video on Youtube of Bruce doing a solo version of it that is pretty cool. I use to have a British pressing of Friends on cd that I got at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I gave it away several years ago.
