I read this book a while back: A Simple Twist of Fate: Bob Dylan and the Making of Blood on the Tracks. I knew some thing about those sessions - but this book is really good with the details about the making of the album.
-
I have the tape - which has an extra song on it. What's really strange is that concert film from that time or the next tour. Ritchie is not on stage for the opening number.
-
Perfect Strangers is a great album for the time. I have never heard the other ones after that.
-
	That sound right.
-
It took me a while to get there.
-
I recall somewhere Edge said after this they were taking time off after this round of tours.
-
Or maybe he was referring to the John Travolta movie from 1976.
-
Oddly enough - I bought that tape back in the day when I did not even really listen to the GD. I think I had that and Bear's Choice.
-
I went through that for several days at home. I looked up various issues having to do with Firefox. I ended up changing the url from forums.viachicago.org/ to http://viachicago.org/. And now it works just fine.

	That must be it.
-
That must be weird. The same with Alan White in Yes. You hang around for the whole show and then come out at the end.
-
	Interesting.

I wonder why these teams our doing such things? Is it just to get people in the seats? I have read attendance is down all over. I can see SF doing a GD night. That one makes sense. It is a son of a bitching thing that most hyped thing about my Pirates is that they have been pushing a Ed Sheeran concert all season. Whoever in the hell that is.

I don't know about now - but I always considered Alice in Chains a metal band. I have never been much of a Judas Priest fan beyond the first two albums.
-
I believe Glen is playing on the encore. Or he was earlier in the tour. Don't forget your earplugs.
-
I believe he opened up some sort of clothing store when he left the band. I've always wondered about the story of how he came back. They could have just got a hired guy to fill in for Howie. There must be an interesting story there. I don't think they really talked about it much in the documentary.

That's him. I think my TP cds are some of the oldest cds I own. The early ones have blank pages in the inserts or that generic MCA artwork.
-
I believe that was Howie's first video with the band.
-
That video for You Got Lucky was big also. I think I recall seeing it on Night Tracks.
-
Aha - you are right. I meant Kings Highway.
-
I like the acoustic version of that song (Kings Road).
-
It's Good To Be King is one of my favorite TP songs. And also a great video.
-
Good call on Mystery Man - such a great groove. I'd go with Straight Into Darkness.

Dad Band Dave here is really into Wilco. . .
