  1. I live in a college town. I see those and face and arm piercings everyday. It does seem a bit odd when some old man does it though.
  2. It sort of amazes me they are doing all this press for the Automatic for The People re-issue. Have they done that sort of thing for the other re-issues?
  3. I've read some interviews lately that suggest he may or may not want to play at the ceremony.
  4. I can remember when Bon Jovi was considered a hair metal band.
  5. Of course - writing that stuff has made him a very wealthy man. At least he is going to let the guys who left the band on stage for the ceremony.
  6. I didn't know this until not too long ago. Mike Pinder actually worked in the factory where Mellotrons were built.
  7. I can see your point now. Bon Jovi is not my cup of tea - but it is interesting that he can continue to sell albums and play stadiums. I have to say I liked him in the Ed Burns film No Looking Back (1998).
  8. Tuesday Afternoon is one of my favorite songs.
  9. It's one of those films we use to watch on HBO back in the day. Probably not too many fans here - but Days of Future Passed is a ground breaking album. In Search of The Lost Chord is also great. The rest are hit and miss for me.
  10. Now I am thinking of the film Local Hero (1983).
  11. The first two are probably the best. Down to the Waterline is one of my favorite Dire Straits songs.
  12. That first album was a big deal at the time. Everyone had it. I think I had it on 8-Track.
  13. Good to see The Cars and The Moody Blues in there.
  14. I recall reading on one of his last tours his son was playing most of the solos. I think Duane is doing something with Devon - so I wonder if he will be involved.
  15. I will buy it. But I have to wonder if they have just found another barrel to scrap at this point. Here's hoping we see the Royal Albert footage (officially) sometime in the near future:
  16. Does anyone recall buying multiple copies of Being There due to one of the discs being fouled? I think I ended up buying three.
  17. That Under A Blood Red Sky/War period was my introduction to U2 back in the day.
  18. Now that is a great U2 song. I have not yet bought it. I will eventually.
  19. I watched that online. It didn't do much for me. Last night I was watching the Red Rocks show. Time is a son of a bitch.
  20. I think he playing sounded fine. But he didn't look so well.
  21. That's probably right. In recent years L.A. has become one of my favorite NY songs.
