That's it. I once read a post on Pete's blog (some years ago) where he took Dave to task for some things he said in that book. I like the part where they are amazed that the Dead played so many different songs. At the time (1976), Keith actually had a set list painted on the side of one his drums.

I recall those shows. We have talked about them a few times around here. The old folks, that is.

I can tell from your other post that you grew up a communist. That must have been hard.

I got into R.E.M. sometime in the 1990s, and although I seldom listen to them now, I still think they were a great band. I also got into Radiohead over the past few years. Although, I think O.K. Computer (or half of it, really) is the albums I like the best. There was a time of course, when I would have never listened to either of those bands. There are probably some more, but that is what comes to mind at the moment.

I always thought that was a weird mix. Pete was in his Soccer Hooligan/New Romantic/New Wave/dressing up like a teenager phase around that time (early 80s). Dave Marsh talks about that time in the Who book he wrote. I can't recall what the deal was exactly. I just remember a passage where Pete meets with Jerry and asks him to do the dates The Who were suppose to do. I think the 1989 tour was "The Who On Ice" as Pete calls it. They had a whole bunch of players on stage with them.

They took over a tour that The Who were suppose to do. Pete played with them. I think there are clips of if out there. It was a Rockaplast show (if I recall correctly).

They actually played some shows together in 1976. (Of course, the people who post in this thread know that.) Oddly enough, I have known about The Who since around 1977, but I did not get into the Grateful Dead until sometime in the 1990s.

You may not want to mess with it - due to the fact that it takes some configuring to work with your disc drive. Or, at least it use to take some configuring. I don't know if it does now or not, as I have not bothered to grab a new version. It's no big deal. The show will appear somewhere at some point.

Did anyone watch this last night? American Pickers Antique Archaeology I have been watching Youtube videos of these dudes since 2008 or so. It was nice to see that they got a show on the History Channel.

I think I read somewhere that a former ShowCo employee may the one who is making them available.

What's really nice is some dude paid a couple hundred bucks for that show, and then shared it. I read something a while back about some bootlegger complaining about BT putting him out of business. Now that is funny.

I have spent the day grabbing Zeppelin SBD shows. There is a new one out -

Dave Allen was better than any of those dudes. There is some speculation that he is going to the Fox Network.
-
Yes, and NBC is going to put on Dave Allen at Large at 10 pm every night.

I just did a search on his name. It appears he was a member of Marc Ford's band.
-
There is a bunch of people listed at db.etree.org as having the AUD source. I have never seen the show anywhere though.

Marc's MySpace page His website appears to be gone. I think he doing some sort of Chicago/Delta style blues music now.
