Check out the clip on the FB page - it is rocking.

There is a snippet of what I am guessing is a new Son Volt or Jay album up on the Son Volt Facebook page today.
-
Oh, I love that song. I think it was sort of a rushed recording.

Ok - The Hardy Boys - One Time in a Million or The Monkees - My Share of The Sidewalk

I can see that. His vocals were good on that song. I was never much of a Soundgarden fan. But he can certainly sing.

I can tell they practiced. It just seems odd to me they would pick that song. They should do Hey Hey What Can I Do.
-
I can understand all that. I am old. But it just seems like a strange song to try and play live. Unless you are Jimmy Page. Ok - thanks to the internet - Achilles Last Stand - TOTD Not as bad as I thought it would be - but that guy on drums just does not do it for me -

That might be a photograph form the photo session for the Beatles '65 album.

I hope he writes a book some day. I use to listen to his show when it was just a podcast. There was more talk about music and whatnot then. He talks some more about Ed around 39 and towards the end at 1:12 minutes. Steve Gorman Sports

I wonder how it is they decided to do that LZ song? Not exactly the easiest song to play -
-
It was heavy.

I would think Rich would not bring him and Marc in if they were trashed. But - what do I know. I have always wondered what he was up to all these years. I have seen scary videos of Marc and what he has been into.

I have these two bookmarked: The Pods & Sods Network Zilch: A Monkees Podcast

The girls reading the news I meant to say. Another tune for you - If You Think You're Groovy (PP Arnold and The Small Faces)

I think people were talking about the Jack Straw in the comments. I think David mentions it also. Any other band would have cut that from the release.

It's all about the groove and Jerry's tone at the time. Grateful Dead Merchandising Commercial

What took you so long! Classic albums you just discovered

It's from the title of a book by William Manus - by way of Guy Stevens. -
That's it. I have the old black and red tape box cover release.
-
One of those DP's I have is from the first Brent tour. I forget the number. I like my Bird Song to be as played as heard on Ladies and Gentlemen. . .The Grateful Dead.

You should get the rest of their albums. -
I was listening to the sample tracks and I noticed Bird Song (and the rest) seemed too fast. Is this the tape or were they playing that fast in 1981? I know nothing about Dead shows from that time period.

I was listening with my eyes closed. Which made me notice how the one young lady was saying the word "day". I am thinking Chicago born. Oh - if you really want to play a song most people have never heard - check out Wrong Side of The River (Mott The Hoople).
